Interesting and informative.
An interesting book for anyone wanting to know about paganism, it's origins and beliefs (or lack of). Also for anyone wanting to get closer to nature.

It's alright
The book is alright for an overview. But the amount of spelling errors is very distracting. Even the cover can't decide how the author's surname should be spelt

Appetite whetter.
If you are new to Paganism, as I am, this book is a good place to start. It is not a taxing read written by an academic, but an accessible introduction penned by an ordinary practitioner. Riley Star describes, or rather narrows down, what Paganism is and what it is not. So as to keep her book simple, she concentrates on just three 'paths': Wicca, Druidry and Odinism. She makes it quite clear that Paganism is not as straight-jacketed as many other non-pagan faiths and that the interpretation of it is largely up to the individual - and so something for almost everybody. She does not proselytise or denigrate the major religions; she just opens the eyes of those seeking an alternative. If you connect more with Nature and Spirituality than with Materialism and Selfism, and are ignorant of Paganism, then I suggest you pick up this book.

One of the goddesses names is a mystery
Loved the book, but can't find any information or reference to one of the celtic goddesses mentioned in the book, and typically its one I was interested in researching. Google just has no clue who she is. Apart from that the book was very interesting.

Great book for beginners! Has a bit of everything, and lots of good info on resources and where you can find them. Easy to read and understand. Looks good and reads well digitally.

This book is an informative introduction into the pagan way of life. As a seeker, any path that brings me closer to my higher self and my purpose is a positive. Thus the addition of this book to my library. Riley does a wonderful job of navigating the history, terminology, rituals and goddesses/gods, without overwhelming the reader. It is a good read and I recommend to anyone curious about paganism.

Für den Einstieg, wenn man sich nur mal etwas informieren will, ist es OK. Allerdings wiederholt sich einiges oft. Hatte mehr erwartet.

It was a decent summary for beginners. I sorta feel like it's unfinished and seemed to end abruptly. Maybe its just me. Still enjoyed it.
