Tasty Traditional Lean Beef Biltong & Droëwors Sticks Combo – High-Protein Dried Beef and Sausage Snack, 1000g (2 x 500g)

I've lived in the UK for a long time but I'm South African born and bred. As such I've had a lot of biltong from a lot of different suppliers in the UK going as far back as the late 1990s when Susmans supplied the butcher I got my SA fix from. I know my stuff when it comes to biltong and droewors in the UK. The Biltong Man's biltong is first rate. It would be nice to have choices of fattiness, dryness and slice thickness. As we all know some of us biltong boys like lekker big pieces of fat and wet stuff whereas some of us like the dry stuff you can suck the flavour from. Having said that this biltong is very good. A little dry and a little thinly sliced for my liking but a really good amount of fat, not a lot but exactly the right amount to carry the flavour. The droewors is... disappointing if I'm honest. Hunters is far better, still being fairly wet but having lots of proper droewors flavour and being darkly coloured. This droewors is very wet and the flavour is very mild. It's droewors but only just, the flavour is that mild. It's quite pink and I would describe it as a meat stick more than actual droewors. You could let the droewors dry out more if you like your droewors proper droe but this starts from a far too wet and flavourless place. So a mixed bag really. I wouldn't get the droewors again but would get the biltong if the price was right, I still prefer to specify a few things when I get my 'tong.

Biltong and droewors comes in many different forms and flavours. This particular brand has a lovely lean texture, not too dry and a perfect blend of spices so as to be tasty but not overbearing. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who likes the traditional SA Woolies style. It is upmarket and worth every penny.

Firstly- this is great Value biltong, and I would order again. The droe wors was the best, not too dry, and packed imeith flavour. The biltong was a bit dry for my taste buds. I really love biltong that is packed with spice ambit slightly wet and fatty (not overly) but this was very dry. So if propper dry original biltong is what you're after- you really can't go wrong.... and delivered to your door- what more could you want! 🤣

The biltong is way too dry and is more like beef jerky. The wors is excellent. Nice and moist and taste great!!

My go to for biltong and droers

This Biltong and Droewors pack arrived on next day delivery and both are delicious. The biltong is thin sliced and quite lean but there is enough fat for flavour. The 'wors' tastes like it should too - firm and delicately spiced. Also, this is very good value for money - much more reasonable than other suppliers and yet, still the best I've had in the UK. Highly recommended and I will be back for more!

Where do I begin. I am a Jerky and Biltong fanatic but I have no idea what this is but it isnt Biltong. It is very soft and wet, Biltong should be neither. Why they have cut it into such small pieces is beyond me. very bland in taste. I would guess soggy cardboard has more taste It is advertised as Spicy its anything but. Not worth the money. Very disapointed considering the price and it being nothing like what it should be

Great taste, very nicely dried (unlike some packaged droewors/biltong that is not properly dried and sweats in the bag). Highly recommended.
