This chuck is pretty decent for what it is , its just a little hard to get it really tight because of the design ,But it does the job , I'm happy

I am often hesitant to buy woodworking tools that are not brand name. This tool has made a believer of me in the no name knock off department. After my first use, I made a wooden box for Storage. It’s quite an asset. Works simply and easily. And it’s half the price of brand-name products.

You get what you pay for: the jaws aren't very well aligned, and I usually have one that refuses to clamp strongly.

Product arrived with one of the handles for tightening completely broken. The four grippers are difficult to adjust if you need to reverse them if not mounted on lathe. The grippers do not hold securely regardless of how much you tighten them. On items larger than two inches the gripping fingers extend beyond the edge of the chuck and can easily hit your hand when working close. Very easy to hit by them and if lucky only bet a bad cut could break a finger or even your wrist. I would not recommend this item. Buy with caution.

This chuck is very useful in taking of the bottom tennon on bowls and plates and etc

I use this chick on a wood lathe. Not sure if that's it's intended purpose. I cushioned the flat edges with foam tape and it doesn't seem to marr or dent the wood. I use it all the time to reverse bowls and finish the bottom

Great product, good quality, easy to use, has really made a difference to items that I can turn on my wood lathe.
