These actually DO work and are a great replacement for the PetSafe SSSCat spray. My only issue with the the SSSCat Spray device itself. When you turn it on, it automatically releases two puffs of spray. It is DESIGNED so that you HAVE to purchase these cans on the regular. I often just put the can out and leave it off and this is enough to deter my cats although on particular cat is always testing it and I have to turn it back on. Otherwise, this product does what it's intended to do.

Don't waste your money on this. It does NOT FIT the Petsafe SSSCAT Motion Sensor Automatic Spray Deterent that it is billed as compatible with for a refill. Maybe they can get away with saying it does by burying some detail down in the fine print, but when it comes to making a sale, it's pushed right up there, right next to officical Petsafe SSSCat Motion Sensor Device Refills. Then, when I tried to return it, I was told it was not returnable 'for health reasons'. TOTAL SCAM. SAVE YOUR MONEY. - And NO, I WILL NOT CHANGE THIS REVIEW.

We had to get these because my cat kittens love to jump on the counter the table and other areas where I don't want my pets. I opted in for this type specifically because it doesn't have any aerosol chemicals in there that may be harmful for my pets, as I consider pets my family. I want to to do everything possible to keep them safe. And if they do jump up the way that they blow, I didn't want it to blow in my cat's face or things and let them inhale whatever was coming out. So therefore, this was the perfect choice in resolving 2 issues that I set out To accomplish they last a long time with the head unit that is placed on there and you're able to turn it off the motion sensor that is on top of these is pretty sensitive, only in the direct site of where the sensor is facing it will give a short burst of air to scare them. And eventually, over a couple of days, they will learn not to jump on things that you are trying to deter them away. They are on the pricey side, but I did not like the brand feliway or the other real popular brand in this category? I can't think of it at this time, but i'm sure if you're reading this review.You'll know exactly which one I am talking about

Not the same as the originals

I ordered this two pack. I was initially pleased with the first refill can as an alternate more affordable refill. It worked great. Second can, not so much. I was unable able to use it because it would leak air constantly. I contacted the manufacturer with this issue. The customer service was great. With no hassle, they sent me two additional refills which was awesome. However, both replacement bottles leaked constantly as well. So my experience was 1 out of 4 bottles worked properly. Overall, I’m disappointed with this product despite the manufacturer’s great customer service.

After two hours the replacement can worked just fine. I had not turned it off and as I walked by it hissed at me very strongly. (This is my original review. I bought these as a replacement for my ssscat diffuser. Because they were a replacement I didn't try them before I could return them. When I put it on the diffuser it leaked all over, then I let it stand for a few minutes but still didn't work. I finally changed the batteries thinking that might be the problem, but still doesn't work.)

I saw in the description of the item that it'd work with the SSSCAT motion detection attachment. I tried it out last night and immediately heard the air leaking from the cannister like in other reviews. I was still hopeful that I could get some use out of it. I checked the cannister this morning and it was already empty. I went to try to return it/request a refund, but the site said it wasn't allowed. :( UPDATE: The company reached out with tips for use and had refunded my order since the item hadn't worked for me. Raising my rating from my original 1 star to 3 because I had a good experience with their customer service.
