Easy to learn, fun & challenging with ebbs and flow of speed!!
My daughter and I love this game! Best for 3+ players but we have adapted for us. Theres always laughter and competitive moments that feel bonding. The 2 decks are nice so that you don’t always feel like you’re saying the same words for the categories. Simple to learn and a good brain health & vocabulary game!

Susie Stamp of Approval?? YES!!
A friend brought this game on a large group camping trip and it was the hit of the vacation. It was an easy-to-learn and fun-to-play card game for both adults and teens. This one is a crowd pleaser because it quickly engages all personality types, keeps everyone on their toes, entertains the clowns, challenges the intellectuals, even the "anti-gamers" were in on the fun. Physically, the game can also be very compact & portable by just tossing the cardstack into a ziplock bag.

ANOMIA is my new favorite game
Let me start out my review by saying, when this package first arrived, I was shocked at how little the box for this game was. For some reason I was thinking there would be more parts to it, but it's literally just the card box...that being said who knew that great things ACTUALLY do come in small packages!? Directions/Ease of Play: I didn't try to figure out how to play this until I tried to play it with all my party guests, but it was still very easy to figure out, thanks to the very helpful set-up diagram included in the instructions. It took us (about 5 people) less than 10 minutes to figure out. Another individual joined in after all the fun they saw us having and had no problems with game play. Honestly, I would suggest you go over/figure out the instructions as a group -- at first it appears confusing, but it's not once the game get rolling (as is with most games). Players: This is a good game for people who like to play games. I wouldn't recommend it for a 1st grader, but my son (a 4th grader) played it with us adults and enjoyed himself. Third grade is where I would probably keep the minimum at, however this game is very suited for anyone beyond that. Bear in mind, you have to pay attention in this game; if you have "those players" that like to "play games" but don't pay attention, they may lose interest. Length: The instructions give an end point...but we always get to the point where we have to bump it up. You can have a good game with 30 mins to an hour, but you can expand that if willing. Best thing about this game: It's totally reusable for all of your parties/game nights, because you never know which combinations will arise. I'm very happy to say I spent less than 15 bucks on a game I can use a 1000 times. Worst thing about this game: As the instructions indicate, you can really only have between 3-6 players for it to be fun. I wouldn't say that's the "worst" thing about this game since it's so fun, but you could see why it would start to be a bad game if more than 6 people play. Do not bust this game out if you want to entertain 10 people. tl;dr: This game is awesome just buy it.

Think Quick
Anomia plays off that your brain works a little differently under pressure! This game will make you think fast. I really enjoy it but cant seem to stay interested more than one or two rounds with friends. It seems to be more of a filler during game night than a main one. It is great with friends or family. There are some categories I just don't as well which makes this not as fun for me. Summary: Does the symbol on your card match one on another player's card? If so, you must quickly face-off with the other player by giving an example of the person, place, or thing on their card before they can do the same for yours. If you blurt a correct answer out first, you win their card and drawing continues until out of cards. Directions: Draw a card from the center pile and flip it over. Does the symbol on your card match one on another player's card? If so, you must quickly face-off with the other player by giving an example of the person, place, or thing on their card before they can do the same for yours. If you blurt a correct answer out first, you win their card and drawing continues. Sounds simple, right? Wrong! Wild cards allow unlike symbols to match, increasing the number of things you must pay attention to. Cascading face-offs can occur when you hand over a lost card revealing a new top card on your play pile. All this adds up to a high-energy, hilarious play experience where everyone is involved at all times. The Goal: Collect the most cards. The Setup: Shuffle one of the 2 decks and create 2 draw piles in the center of the table. The Play: The starting player draws a card from either deck and flips it face-up in front of them. Each additional player does the same thing. Watch for symbols that match, when a match occurs, the players whose cards match much shout out an answer that matches their opponent's card. The winner collects their opponents card and places it in a collection pile in front of them. Play continues with the next player. Wild cards will add additional symbols to watch for, so face-offs happen more and more frequently. Once a card has been collected, it will reveal the card underneath, which often leads to a casade of face-offs. Pay attention! Game End: When both draw piles have been depleted the game ends. Each player counts the number of cards won in face-offs, the player with the most cards wins!

Gotta Be Quick
Love this game! It takes a quick wit to win Anomia. You'll deepen friendships and make enemies while playing but it's a lot of fun.

fun!
Very fun game for a group! Easy to learn and not too thinky. Some categories are a little dated and harder for younger kids but overall very quick and easy
