Rockett St George: Extraordinary Interiors: Show-stopping looks for unique interiors

I’m picky about my inspirational books and magazines and this one was all of the unique viewpoint I am looking for. 5 stars!

For everyone who cringes at the austere mid-century look. This book is produced by the co-owners of an online British website selling interesting home decor items. The rooms actually look as if the inhabitants have a point of view and their personality is reflected in their home.

This is an informative book containing beautiful pictures. I’ve already gained so many great decorating ideas.

I have allot of Design books an the 2 books that are my absolute favorite are the 2 by Rockett St George. I recommend both books by them, you will not be disappointed.

This book is perfect mix of dark and urban. It helped me on what pieces to bring the room together.

I enjoyed looking at the moody, eclectic interiors. The homes all have similar look and styling - lots of dark rooms, sheepskin and filled with collections. I found the text uninteresting and skimmed through most of it. The how-to portions are basic and while the descriptions of the individual homes is better, there is something about the writing that I just didn’t care for. If you are into dark rooms, sheepskin, and eclectic collections, this book would be great.

Very dramatic and ingenious interiors featured in this compilation of various designers’ interiors. However dramatic, 90% of the interiors shown are very dark (ie. black). All in all a nice book if you love dark, dramatic and sometimes extreme surroundings. I returned the book as something I probably would never refer to again in design work.

Wunderbarer Bildband vor allem wenn man gerne dunkle Töne hat. Nur leider ist mein Exemplar beschädigt angekommen und es zurückzuschicken ist sehr mühsam. Ich habe 2 Stunden aufbringen müssen (Telefon und Chat mit Dhl und Amazon) um alle Infos für den Rückversand zu erhalten, um dann doch zu erfahren, dass eine DHL- Abholung (aus welchem Grund auch immer) hier doch nicht möglich ist, weil Infos auf dem Rücksendeetikett (vom Anbieter) fehlen und das kann nicht geändert werden. Und das alles für ein defektes Buch. Ich bestelle gerne bei Amazon, aber da frage ich mich, wie oft ich das Risiko noch eingehen möchte... wirklich nicht kundenfreundlich sehr schade. Aber das Buch an sich ist wirklich sehr schön ( wenn es nicht defekt gewesen wäre).

Having deliberated for months over whether or not to order this book, I finally decided to take the plunge & I am so glad that I did. A truly beautiful book packed full of gorgeous photographs of stunningly dark & eclectic interiors, absolutely a book I shall have pleasure in dipping into for inspiration.
