Franke 133.0026.896 Optional Extra Reinforcing Kitchen Tap Brace

The Franke Secure Kitchen Tap Brace is fantastic, We purchased it as added stability when fitting our new tap which was slightly heavier than the old one. It does exactly as the image shows, and attached to the underside of the work surface with an adhesive pad and screws. It is easy to fit, strong once in place, and I am sure that it will give the added support the tap system now for a very long time. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. Overall would definitely recommend to anyone considering fitting a new tap or sink unit and prefer a bit of added stability.

I know this brace works - I've used a few of them over the years. This time however, it wasn't compatible with the sink and base unit. It relies on attaching to the worktop, and my "oversize" sink meant no worktop was accessible (without cutting out a big chunk of the back of the base unit. It's still a good piece of kit, just not suitable for every situation. I managed to cobble together my own brace: I just hope nobody goes looking under the sink because, although it works, it looks like a dog's dinner!

Works well although a bit fiddly to fit. Its best to take the sink out if possile and fit the brace losely prior to replacing the sink. However, you still end up lying under the sink to complete the fitting.

Does not fit the base of my tap, it has a rubber ring inside the clamp, this is designed for a tap with a bolt and nut securing fitting, the tap I bought has a large brass nut screwing onto a brass threaded insert on the base of the tap, the rubber "ring/Spacer" is moulded to accomodate the flex pipes and the securing bolt, so will not fit my tap , all I would have needed was a simple ring of rubber to encircle the threaded insert. The unit has great potential for the taps it does fit, also providing there is dimension compatability to fix to the rear, I think I can make it fit above the sink if I really try as it seems to be provided with a sticky block as well as screws. Too busy to have tried so far. I guess it is more designed for Franke fittings than a universal item. Still a good idea to firm up the assembly.

This is a brilliant bit of kit. On the pack in German it is advised to be used for all Franke heavy taps, in the translation it only advised the use on stainless steel sinks. The latest Franke taps are so top heavy I think it is best to be safe thatn sorry and fit this useful accessory to keep the tap fitted firmly. Easy to fit, not cheap but worth it, I think it should come as standard with heavy taps!

This is a well made brace but unfortunately it won't fit a Franke mixer/filter tap because of the extra hose connection to the filter unit. However, I have installed the tap to a Franke stainless sink which is probably 20 years old and made of a heavier gauge steel than modern units and so the tap is sufficiently rigid to not need a brace.

I recently had a new tap and sink fitted. However, the tap is quite heavy, and the sink is made of fairly thin stainless steel. As a result, the tap was very wobbly. By using this tap brace I soon fixed my tap wobbles and it is now rock solid. A very good purchase.

Mistake I made was buying a steel sink (Franke). The brace is useless better of with using the fixing that came with the tap. Probably would work if you used solid coper pipes rather than flexible one's that come with tap (Franke Bern Tap Chrome Finish) Summary: Useless item, Need to see how to return item and get my money back. Would have given 0 stars, but system does not allow that. Why?

This product is wonderful for supporting a commercial kitchen faucet on a metal sink. I believe this product ships from England and I got it quick enough. Easy to install and very strong product. I just installed it on my Fapully commercial sink, I was skeptical because the brace looks cheap but its not...works great, if you have a unstable kitchen faucet then try this product.

Sehr gutes Teil. Unser Wasserhahn wackelte sehr auf dem dünnwandigen Edelstahlbecken. Mit diesem Teil sitzt die Armatur Bombenfest. War aus Platzgründen nur ein wenig schwierig anzubringen.

Si vous posez un évier en inox optez sans hésiter sur ce produit qui empêchera tout mouvement de votre évier lors de l'utilisation de votre robinet. Le robinet est maintenu au plan de travail et ne laisse apparaitre aucun mouvement de votre évier inox

Bevor diese Verstärkungsplatte installiert war, hat mein FRANKE 3-Wege-Armatur gewackelt wie ein Kuhschwanz. Mit der Verstärkungsplatte wackelt nichts mehr. Man kann mit der Armatur auch etwas ruppiger umgehen ohne gleich Angst um das Spülbecken zu haben. Die Installation war einfach und vor allem ohne Demontage der Armatur möglich. Bin somit Top zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis. Die einzige Frage die sich mir stellt ist warum diese Platte nicht bei den FRANKE Armaturen mit geliefert wird?
