My old camp chef auger motor was dead and was causing the fuse to blow when starting. I followed camp chefs troubleshooting advice on their site which systematically walks you through how to determine if it is the blower, hot rod or auger causing the problem. Figured out the motor was the issue. Ordered this one and installed yesterday. Worked perfectly! My only wish is that it would have arrive quicker.

The only thing it could do better is have thicker wires

Bought Nov 20 2024Installed Nov 26 202411 cooks with my pellet smoker (Victory)Gear box split open in the middle of a p4 setting cook. Auger is free and not stuck.Motor is working still but gears are stripped/or gear box is separated and skipping.

I made a rookie mistake and didn't empty my hopper and auger over winter. As you can guess the pellets got damp, swelled & jammed up the auger. Apparently these little motors give it all they've got to do their job. My original must have stripped the internal gears, which led to a replacement.The new motor arrived next day and was easier to install than I would have guessed. It fit perfectly and is doing it's job. The smoker is up and running & all is well.

Used for many months now without issues on my . It pushes pellets. I gave it 4 stars just because I want to see how does through the summer. I have done at least 15 cooks without issue and all day cooks at least 5 of those times.

Just as described, had my Traeger back up and running in less than 30 minutes! Runs smoother than it ever has.....
