I recently purchased an attar that promised to encapsulate the fresh, earthy scent of the first rain, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The allure of this attar lay in its marketing, which evoked images of rejuvenation and the nostalgic, invigorating smell of rain-soaked earth. However, my experience was quite different. Upon first application, the scent was overwhelmingly synthetic. Instead of the subtle, natural aroma of petrichor, I was greeted with a sharp, almost chemical odor that felt out of place and overpowering. As the attar settled, the expected transformation into a more nuanced, rain-like fragrance never happened. Instead, the initial harshness remained, and there were no traces of the delicate, earthy notes one would associate with the first rain. The middle notes of the attar did little to improve the experience. They lacked the depth and complexity that a good attar should have. The scent profile remained flat and uninspiring, missing the freshness and vibrancy that make the first rain so special. Longevity and sillage were also disappointing. The scent faded quickly, leaving behind a faint, nondescript smell that did not justify its premium price. It’s a shame because the concept was promising, and I was looking forward to a fragrance that would evoke such a vivid and cherished memory. It lacked authenticity and depth, resulting in a fragrance that was both underwhelming and forgettable. If you love the smell of the first rain on dry soil, this is exactly that. It’s an incredibly authentic "geeli mitti" scent that instantly calms your mind. It’s alcohol-free and feels very pure on the skin. I use the roll-on on my pulse points whenever I need a quick mood boost

Smells like mud, but in a good way. Reminds me of the smell of forests. The smell seems to only project for for less than an hour, after which you have to get really close to get the scent. The scent is fairly simple with the top muddy note quickly subsiding and leaving behind the woody base note. It's not great but its not bad either. I'd rate it 3.5 out if 5. PS. Because if the simplicity of the scent, it works really well when layered with other perfumes.

Fragrance goes away in less than 10 minutes. Only for single time inhalation. No projection . No lasting . Name sake first rain. Doesn't at all match its cost and expectations.
