Brilliant
This has made such a difference to the wifi reception for our laptop. We are currently in a marina with an average signal at best. Our laptop could barely receive it and now has full bars on the signal indicator. Downside for us, though not specific to the product, is that if the wireless aerial in the laptop fires up as well, the two interfere with each other and nothing is received. It only happens occasionally, despite disabling the internal adaptor.

Awesome addition to my Alfa card
Awesome addition to my Alfa card. increases the range by bunch if you boost the TX power on the card.

It's a Screw-On!
May be unfair of me to give only one star but....It's a screw-on antenna. I neglected to look on my router before ordering. There is no place to screw it onto. My existing antenna is fixed into the plastic body. I checked with many other friends and relatives' routers and they were also fixed. How many people have a possible connection on their routers? LOOK BEFORE YOU BUY!

This is a big aerial!
I purchased this larger aerial to go with the Alfa WUS036H. It's quite a beast - just over 11" long! Consequently it is also heavier than the original, (just under 7") and the base is not really capable of keeping it upright. I tried both aerials. but found very little difference between the two in terms of sensitivity and gain. Consequently I don't consider it a worthwhile replacement for the smaller, standard one.

Great addition to wifi system
If your wifi signal needs strengthening and a wifi booster doesn't quite do it on its own, this is the ideal solution to the problem. It screws onto the normal aerial housing. It's that simple - and it gives an added couple of bars to the signal strength. I have one for my machine and have just bought this one to go with my wife's new laptop. I love it, and it's so cheap for what it does!

good booster
Bought two of these to replace the antenna on TP-Link TL-WA901ND Advanced Wireless N Access Point however after much configuration I thought that I was getting no where but I put origional antennas back onto TP-Link TL-WA901ND Advanced Wireless N Access Point and replaced middle one with this and boom the signal strength jumped up and I can now share broadband from two houses at least 20 metres apart.

Supprised
I bought this for use in France where I jump the wi-fi from neighbours. We sometimes got 1 bar but rarely, I had low expectations for the unit but it was worth a try with my other option being an expensive dongle. Crikey O'Reilly - It only blooming worked!!! 4-5 bar fast conection.. I'm impressed!! Its a big antenna
I got this antenna thinking the signal would improve so much more them the 7dbi antenna and the true thing is it doesn't. If youre thinking on using this inside your house to improve wireless signal you won't notice much improvement from the 7dbi. For outdoors use i really don't know because i haven't tested to see if it covers bigger distances. To travel around with it is kinda hard because it is really big and heavy. The regular wireless card were you attach this antenna isnt heavy enough to support its weight. As for alfa antenna it is a great product! Got 3 of them, 2 to give as gifts because these are really good antennas! Would definitely recommend anyone to get the 7dbi to improve your wireless capture.
