Gets the job done, but takes time
I've used Brew San for quite a long time. It's one of the best cheap option available in India. Takes 20-30 mins to sanitize, but gets the job done. I've read at a few places that this mix of Sodium Carbonate & Percarbonate is more of a cleaning agent - to get rid of dirt, stains and tartarate crystals. So I've started using iodophor too as a sanitizer and using Brew San. Well worth the effort if you're planning to spend months and years to make a fine brew.

Great cleaner, but not a true no-rinse sanitiser for brewing
I bought this for home brewing and fermentation. After using it and checking the ingredients (sodium percarbonate + sodium carbonate), it’s clear that this product works very well as a cleaner, but it’s not a true no-rinse sanitiser in the brewing sense. Pros: • Excellent at removing residue, stains, and biofilm • Very effective for deep cleaning bottles, jars, funnels, and brewing tools • Odour-free and easy to dissolve • Good value for money as a cleaner Cons (important for brewers): • This is an alkaline oxygen cleaner, not an acid-based sanitiser • Leaves residue that can affect yeast if not rinsed thoroughly • Despite the “no-rinse” label, it should be rinsed well before contact with fermented beverages My takeaway: Use this product as a pre-cleaner, then rinse properly and follow up with a true brewing sanitiser (acid-based or iodophor), or boiling water if nothing else is available. Relying on this alone without rinsing could stress yeast or affect fermentation. Verdict: Excellent cleaning agent, misleading as a no-rinse brewing sanitiser. Great to have in a brewer’s kit — just not as the final sanitising step.

Effective but takes slow 20minutes to sanitize
The product listing says it foams but it does NOT. If you are sanitizing a 30L fermenter then you need 30L of water as per the instruction since the solution needs to be in contact with all the areas you are sanitizing. Products like iodophor or starsan take a minute to sanitize as they are rinse and reuse. But this Brew-San needs to sit in the fermenter for 20 minutes while it slowly releases oxygen. I feel this Brew-San to be too tedious and wasteful compared to iodophor or Star-San. Will not buy again. I don’t recommend this either.

Bottle blew open!
I received the package within a few hours of placing the order from Blore. After unboxing the package, I noticed that the lid of the container had bloated due to pressure from within the container. Slowly, I tried to unscrew the lid but the pressure blew the lid and the foil seal under the lid burst open leaving half the contents from the bottle strewn all over the kitchen platform. Not sure what had caused the

avg product
it does what it claims, however it takes 30 mins for a surface to sanitize. typically you need products that work in 1-3 mins for such applications
