These are a great hammer. They have a lovely feel and grip and are very well made. I had one for years and I lost it recently, I was heartbroken. They are a very hard hammer to find in hardware stores, that is one of the great advantages of Amazone, you can find exactly what you are looking for with a few taps of your fingers. The real advantage of this hammer is when you want to remove nails or staples. The straight head means it is easier to get under the head of a nail or staple when you hit another hammer against the head compared with a hammer with a curved head. I had mine for years and it done a lot of work and it was still like new. They are made from very hard hardened steel.

Hammer goes bang, nails go in. 11/10. Some people might ask "Why would you spend so much on a hammer?". Those people have not used an Estwing. Holding this hammer, you will feel like a Nordic god. You will feel like Thor himself. You will stand on the precipice of glory wielding the power of thunder, crushing mountains before you. I jest. But this really is a good hammer. The quality is impeccable, and it's incredibly durable. This is the vinyl grip variety, which many people (myself included) find more comfortable and durable than the leather grip. This is the sort of hammer that will survive being dropped, thrown, and generally abused in the line of duty. Put it this way- if this hammer was a phone, it would be a Nokia. All other hammers are shattered iPhones in comparison.

Best hammers on the market by far. I have used a 24oz Estwing for years and needed something a little lighter for finish work. I tried another brand of 16oz hammer which the balance was all over the place and resulting in bending every nail. I never realised how the balance of a hammer could affect this as my first hammer was an Estwing. I found this one online and the price was the best around so I purchased it. I could never go to a curved claw as I tend to use the straight claw like a chisel most of the time.

Had previously bought the 20oz Estwing claw hammer so thought I’d add the smaller one to my collection. As expected quality from a USA company is great, ergonomics are perfect and balance is spot on as well. Price is right for a quality product which will last a long time. Highly recommend this hammer for your tool bag.

Had to buy a new Estwing claw hammer due to losing mine on site, Had it for nearly 20 years i am still recovering from the loss. These hammers are the best "well balanced" and the shaft dose not bend like all the other crap on the market, ive been a Carpenter & Joinery for over 30 years and trust me these are the best if you dont loose them.

Wasn't exactly the usual estwing hammer it's shorter in length than the original estwing but dose the job

Great hammer, bought this for fencing and chippy work. Alot of guys will tell you this is too light for fencing or driving 4inch+ nails. I tell them it's not the size of your hammer it's how you swing it and they are just over compensating using their 20oz hammer for everything. Save your elbows used a lighter hammer when u can.
