My bunny prefers the cubes to loose alfalfa hay, chews on these all day And munchies loose hay at night. What’s the approx conversion to loose hay?

I am not sure what the approximate conversion to loose hay would be, because these were hard as rocks. My guinea pig could get the hay loose and quickly lost interest. I would not buy this brand for your bunny.

How big are the cubes? Can they be broken into smaller pieces as a treat for a dwarf hamster?

The cubes are like an inch square, they stay in a cube form, but if you crack it like an egg, it will crumble apart..It absolutely can be broken apart. I Give it to a dwarf rabbit.l I know that the small animals like it in a big piece, and they like rolling around as they chew on it. So, I sometimes leave it whole, but if you have a really tiny animal I would break it into a pieces so theres less waste, they will only eat so much of it.I've been buying these for years and the animals love them....
