What a great set! I have two standard poodles, and grooming them is a JOB! These are very sharp for easy cutting and comfortable to grip and use. They have a nice balance and weight and seem very well made. Good scissors make a world of difference in getting the job done. The case is very nice and keeps all the shears in one place and well protected. I got the black ones because they were the overnight delivery. The only thing I would have done differently is to get the shiny blue ones. I groom the dogs outside when the weather is nice, and I dropped one of the scissors in the grass and had a hard time finding it. I think the shiny one would have been a bit easier to see. Overall though, very good value!

**2 years later** I was surprised when I looked back to see that these were purchases 2 years ago -- they have held up nicely! They have never been sharpened; have been used to groom a rotating schedule of 5 dogs for the past two years (doodle, shihtzu, cavapoo, retriever mixes), and recently opened a part-time grooming business so they have increasingly been utilized. One of the curved and the straight still have quite a sharp edge!, but had to cut out mats on a neglected dingy-dirty-extremely matted coat a few weeks back so ordering another set of these; this time in rainbow. I haven't attempted to have them sharpened but that's my plan when the new set arrives. I have been very impressed with these, specially for their price-point!

Thea are great for beginners but I can tell they won't stay sharp long. They don't cut the hair like butter but it will get the job done. They are made well, they aren't heavy, they are comfortable to use and work well and about the average size of scissors

So far I've only used the straight scissors and the thinning shears, but I highly recommend this scissor set. I have been using scissors I bought from the pet store to groom my Golden retriever at home. I didn't realize until I got this set how dull and frustrating those pet store scissors were. These scissors make the grooming so much easier. I waited so long to purchase a set like this because it was hard to know which set was best and there were so many options with varying opinions. While other sets may be as good or better, I have zero complaints about this set of scissors. I've only used them twice, so I am hoping they stay sharp. I do agree with others that the thumb hole is quite small. I wear size 6.5 surgical gloves or medium exam gloves (although can fit into small but they are just a tad too tight), to give you an idea of my hand size. My thumb fits, but it is tight. Otherwise, I really like these. Warning, they are sharp. I accidentally cut my dog's paw when she jerked (and I feel like a total jerk for doing so). But they made grooming a breeze compared to what I was doing before.

These sheers are amazing and definitely give my 300$ sheers are run for their money. They cut amazing and work absolutely good.

Glad I got these. I groom my own maltipoo's and they came sharp. Didn’t scare them and even the thinning pair work awesome. Will take some time to get use to them for me and the pups.

These appear to be nicely made sissors, but they definitely were not sharp. Hair scissors need to be sharp, real sharp. These weren't even close. Returned the same day they arrived.
