What a Nice Vacuum
I highly recommend buying this vacuum. I've been buying Hoover products for years and decided to go back to Eureka. I like that it has a lot of suction, a retractable cord, a canister instead of a bag and is lightweight. Hoover has that too, but after making comparisons, I'm sure I bought the right product. It was easy to assemble and the price was great.

Don't Let The Price Tag Fool You
I just got this. And I love it. But let's step back a bit in time. I moved across the country and set up my new digs. A vacuum was planned, but one week after I got here, Rona came to town. Because of that, I put a halt on spending a lot of money, because who knew what the future was going to hold. Instead, I got a manual "sweeper, and used that on my carpets for the last 4 months. It worked really well. It picked up the kitty litter, it picked up a lot of pet hair, and it left those "vacuum lines" that I really like. I thought, this entire time, that it was doing a really good job. But, after 4 months, I decided that I should get a vacuum. I came here, browsed around, and thought there was no way I could afford one. They were all over $100 and up. Most of them "up". Then I found this page. And I went to the reviews right away to see what people had to say about it. And I found that review that you all found, too. You know the one - asking if you had any anxiety issues with needing a vacuum but being on a budget? And the reviewer assured us all that we would be making a wise purchase if we just followed her advice by buying one of these? Yeah, well, I took her advice. I cannot believe how much it picked up even after I went over the carpet earlier today with the sweeper. I filled an entire canister of mostly pet hair from my living room/dining area, short hallway, and the bedroom. I thought that my place was pretty clean by just using the sweeper, but I was wrong. This vacuum - listen, it didn't just suck up all the hair and dust that I didn't even know was there, but it also fluffed up my carpets again. This is lightweight, it's ridiculously easy to put together, you probably don't even need the instructions, it's easy to clean the canister, the lid, and the filter. The cord was said to be short, but that cord is LONG. It reached across my entire living room/dining area and down my short hallway from one plug. I only had to switch the plug when I went to clean the bedroom. I have a huge apartment - so no, that cord is not short. Also, it's no louder than any other vacuum I've owned in my life. It sounds like a regular vacuum. The only downsides are that because it fluffed my carpet back up, I can now see everywhere I've walked - which means I'll be pulling the sweeper out again, obsessively, to create clean "vacuum lines" as if no one walks on the floor around here. That's how good this vacuum is - I can't get over how well this vacuum does for such a low price. So, you read that one review? Listen to her! Trust her, because she was right!

Great suction
Overall good vacuum. Strong suction. Especially needed for a husky who constantly sheds hair everywhere. Easy to assemble. Easy to empty canister. Not light weight. Extra long cord for more coverage at once. It is a bit hard to push but not sure if it’s because of the strength of the suction.

SEVEN YEARS I have had this vacuum STILL WORKING GREAT!
Things I love about it. FILTERS - yes filters are washable, but easier for me to just buy new ones when needed. Inexpensive. CANISTER - WOW. Canister holds a LOT and I can easily see when it's getting full. REALLY PICKS UP - Depending on the setting you put it on, it can really suck everything out of your carpeting or rugs. Makes quick work of going over ceramic tile in kitchen and bathroom. EASY ASSEMBLY NICE ATTACHMENTS BOTTOMLINE: have paid MORE for vacuums not nearly this good. ONE THING, if you are giving to someone frail, has trouble vacuuming, while not exactly HEAVY, probably wouldn't be suitable for someone who needs something SUPER lightweight.

Quick back story: I've always been a Dirt Devil fan. They've had the best cleaning ability such as strong suckage (I don't think that's a word!) I replaced my old Dirt Devil with a new model 4 years ago and I hated it! So it's replacement was a Bissell. It held up pretty good until maybe 6 months ago the clip that holds the dirt in the cannister broke off. That became a nightmare when it came time to empty it into the trash can. So, I wanted to go cordless and did a ton of research but I'm not rich and I haven't won the lottery so the Dyson brand was out. I chose a brand of a cordless vacuum that in familiar with and own several other of their products. I ordered it and tried it out after it had been fully charged. I thought it did pretty good. I have 3 pomeranians and their fluff is everywhere. The second time I used it it didn't seem to work as well. I pulled it apart and discovered it had a blockage of hair and dirt in the tube. I couldn't figure out why exactly. I believe it was cuz I only vacuum once a week and I was using the turbo level and it was too much. So I thought OK I'll vacuum twice a week. I had the same problem. To make this long story longer I was disappointed. So back to the drawing board I went. I read all the reviews on this Eureka and decided I'd give it a go and if I hated it I would return it. Pro's: It has an extra large canister because, and it says this: you don't have to empty it so often. Apparently the creators of this vacuum cleaner do not lived in a home with multiple pets! Ha! I've used it twice now and had to empty the canister. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT. I had to dump my Bissell after every single time. Weight: thus magical cleaner I think it said it weighs 8 pounds but I'll tell you what it feels like 5 pounds. It's so light weight you would think it was cheap and can't handle the job of 3 very fluffy dogs. I am happy to report it does the job very well. My Bissell never sucked up as much dirt or hair as this Eureka. It blows my mind that there is that much dirt in my carpets! Attachments: I honestly never use attachments. I'm a neat freak but on the flip side I'm also lazy and it's extra work to use them. On this vacuum it has 3 places to hold the attachments. My Bissell was the same but I kept knocking them off. On this model they're pretty secure. Con's: If I wanted to go back to a corded model I wanted a retractable cord. This model does not have that feature. To be honest it's a WANT not a NEED but it would be great if they changed this on the next model. I also don't wrap the cord on the provided pegs. It's a time waster! Cord length. I don't know why the manufacturer of any vacuum cleaner only gives you 20 to 25 feet!! Because I'm lazy I hate plugging it in one one end of my home and get to the end of the cord and have to stop, unplug, move it to a new outlet. Thus the reason I wanted a cordless vacuum. This cord is 23 to 25 feet long and I can't remember if it's 23 or 25. I have to use a 6 foot extension cord so I don't have to move it to a new outlet. I live in a duplex that has no stairs and I know not everybody isn't that lucky. I'm just saying because I live on one level the cord length would be great. I have owned several different brands of vacuum cleaners from a dirt devil to a Hoover and even a Shark. I also currently have a Eurkea quick up for my kitchen so I knew the Eureka vacuum cleaner was a good bet. Sadly they don't make these anymore. So, if you want a vacuum cleaner that sucks up a ton of dirt, have animals in your home, and is very light weight I recommend this model!

GET IT NOW ! ! Obsessed, powerful suction
I just got my vacuum and used to in my filthy place. My last cheap cordless vacuum broke and I go through 1 vacuum every year cuz I’m the worst at sucking up stuff and breaking them. So I’ve had several in the last few years and I LOVE this one!! Likes: - suction is very strong! I was sooo impressed! The amount of nasty it picked up is insane. -easy assembly -awesome quality, very durable -not a mini but not huge and bulky -easy to empty out and switch attachments -able to pick up so much dirt/hair without having to empty it out often. I did my entire apartment minus hallway because I didn’t vacuume in so long since mine broke and I have 2 cats and 1 husky and they shed like craaazy. So do I so there was so much hair I wanted to empty it out but prob didn’t have to. “Dislikes” (not really a big deal) -heavier side -cord is annoying to put back ( all corded are) -pretty loud so unless your kid sleeps hard I wouldn’t use during nap time. Doesn’t really bother me too much. My other one was pretty quiet but with this suction I rather take that over a quiet one that sucks at sucking 😂😂

Don’t make them like they used to
Not sure how to rate this thing. If this is the new style of all vacuums (they all say light weight and look the same) it might be a 5 star vacuum. Compared to our 21 year old Eureka Pet Plus It’s 1-2. Looks and feels like a toy. 16 pounds compared to 23 pounds. 25 foot cord compared to 35 foot cord. 8 amps compared to 12 amps. Though is says 12.6 inch brush it’s really 10 inch compared to actual 14 inch brush. No adjustment to it. It also has four hose connects which I guarantee make for a loss of suction power. The only reason to get a new vacuum is because the latch that holds ours in an upright position broke, and of course every stinking part is still available except for two. Two out of a hundred not replaceable. Look at the parts sheet and they’re listed as parts 19 and 20. The bloody list stops at 18 and picks up again at 21 though they’re shown in the schematic. Filters, both HEPA and dust along with belt are all still available. The thing works like a champ 21 years later with suction so strong it sucks things in from a foot away. Heavy enough that it applies weight to the brush head to agitate the rugs we have and make dirt rise to the top. This toy skims across the top doing what seems like nothing in the testing I did. You can’t tell me all these $300-$700 stick vacuums are cleaning anything other than dust on top. Going to get boxed up and sent back. This is not an Amazon issue as I see many blame them for crappy products they buy on here. This is the modern day cheap crap built by once good companies issue. Come on Eureka.

Great value - treat it gently.
This vacuum is a peach - especially at $70-ish. It comes almost ready to go; just attach the hose, snap in the handle and you’re done. Reviewers say it’s very loud, and they’re right. It’s a screaming jet-like sound, but I’ve seen Sabbath in concert so I can cope with loud. Biggest weakness is the feebly engineered wheel system. Wheels are one-piece plastic with molded click-tabs which serve as both, the mounting and the bearing for the wheels. They then snap into a cut-out in a thin plastic-wall under the unit. Problem is; normal use causes the wheels to oval-out the thin plastic-wall mount so now the wheels get wobbly and loose, and will soon fall off. This is my second one of these, but even with its shortcomings, it’s still very good and powerful and infinitely better than the $350 Hoover I junked before. Take it easy when pushing. Don’t lean heavily into it and overload the flimsy wheels - use the manual ride-height selector especially on thicker carpet to relieve the pushing effort. Happy sucking..!
