The media could not be loaded.  This action camera is fairly expensive as far as budget action cameras go, but it has a lot of extra features and these are what I was interested in. There are several features that made this camera stand out for me.• The touch screen - this makes operating the camera so easy, much better than trying to remember which buttons to press.• The second LCD at the front - with this it is easy to see what the camera is doing from the front.• Gyro Stabilisation - this irons out a lot of the bumps and wobbles that are normally visible on action cameras that are not kept steady. It is almost as if the camera is mounted on a gimbal.• Video Lapse - when operated in this mode the camera takes a series of time lapse photos and stitches them together to create a time lapse video ready to view; you do not need any editing software to produce it - brilliant!• Distortion Correction - gets rid of the fish eye effect of the wide angle lens.The camera is a joy to use with the touch screen. It is very easy to navigate around the menus and change the operating modes (see the video). Pressing buttons was always an issue for me. I have a few action cameras and I can never remember which button to press.The video records in 4K interpolated 24fps, but seeing as I do not have a 4K TV I record everything in 1080P. it will record 1080P at 60 fps and several other speeds as well as one 4:3 aspect ratio. 720P up to 120fps and VGA at 240fps, so there is some scope there for slow motion work. The video quality is good, but it is made much better when the Gyro Stabilisation is on. This is really noticeable and makes the camera stand out! It really is effective, there is still movement, but it is smooth and there is only the occasional jump. It is not as good as a gimbal, so do not expect perfection, but it is a vast improvement over cameras without image stabilisation.The image has the vast majority of the fish eye distortion removed by the Distortion Correction setting. Fish eye is only slightly noticeable and no further correction was needed when I edited my videos. I love the Video Lapse Setting. Just select the photo duration from the menu and press record. When you are finished, connect the camera to your PC and download the completed time lapse video, no editing software required.There is a QR code on the side of the box for IOS and Android. I used the IOS code and downloaded the app to my iPad. Connecting the camera was easy and you can control the camera with ease. SJCAM also sell a remote control for the camera, but I did not purchase one. It also has external microphone support, but I saw a review where the reviewer stated that it only worked with the microphone sold by SJCAM, so that may be an issue.One small thing that has made a major difference to the way I use this camera is the tripod socket that is fitted to the base of the camera. You can mount the camera directly onto a tripod without having to fit it into a case and add a tripod mount. For me this is a great feature as I use tripods/mounts with these cameras all of the time and I no longer have to try and find a tripod mount amongst all of my camera fittings and fixtures.So, I am very pleased with this camera. I think the extra features make up for the price. I also had a good look around the SJCAM website. There is a manual on there for this camera that is extremely comprehensive and also the latest firmware. Apparently SJCAM regularly update the firmware for all of their products fixing bugs and adding new features, something other manufacturers should take note of. It is a fine action camera.

Like most people in the market for an action camera, I painstakingly researched internet reviews, checked out footage and compared technical specs before settling on my choice - the SJCAM “SJ6 Legend”.I wanted something that would rival a Go-Pro but at a fraction of the price tag.Several examples of ‘comparison footage’ are available online BUT a lot of them show at least some ‘artefacts’/noise in the footage. This would appear to be as result of the uploads being compressed by the host service or incorrect set-up by the user. However I did manage to find a handful of clips which showed clear crisp images with gyro stabiliser used to full effect.Originally I was looking at the M20 but saw the SJ6 Legend in one of the comparison videos and quickly started to look at that one in more detail.There was much talk of the minor differences between the SJ6 Legend and it’s slightly pricier sibling the SJ7 Star. However after seeing some particularly stunning (and quite beautiful) online footage shot using the SJ6 Legend from a drone somewhere in the south of France, I made my decision and ordered the SJ6 Legend directly from SJCAM through Amazon UK.I should also say at this point that one of the reasons I’d started looking at those two particular models in the first place was because they had gyro stabilisation AND the ability to take audio input from an external mic - the latter being something that even a lot of models at twice this price don’t have. I haven’t order the official external mic yet, but it’s next on my wish list....The box arrived and I was immediately impressed with the small size and great build quality of the camera and the range of accompanying accessories. The waterproof hard case (which feels like it is bombproof as well!) is great and you also get a different ‘back door’ to fit in place of the standard one if you want to use the touchscreen but with added basic shower/waterproofing. The touchscreen is responsive and bright and the menus are simple and very easy to follow. If you don’t want to use the touchscreen because you are scuba diving or just want to keep it in the bombproof case because, like me, you frequently drop things , then there are just three function buttons, two of which are used to easily navigate around the menus.The ‘front screen’ serves the purpose of telling you (if you are filming yourself of course) what mode the camera is in, whether it is recording or not, the current length of the recording, the resolution you are recording in, the current time and the battery level.The camera ships with a single battery so I had ordered two official extra batteries and the charger (all very small and super portable) and I quickly realised that this was a very smart move, because once you start playing with your new toy...you won’t want to put it down! I now literally film everything......my cats, the sunsets, my wife doing an ultra marathon, even some cooking. I got a Samsung ‘Evo’ 128gb Micro SD xc card which, if you record at ‘1080p/60fps/W’ should give you around 14hrs of footage !!! (128gb is max memory capacity that the camera will allow)I love being able to film something, pop out the card and transfer the footage very quickly onto my iPad (using a ‘Photofast’ micro SD card adapter which is also superb!) import straight into apps like iMovie or LumaFusion, or just save into my camera roll and upload straight to Facebook within minutes.On the subject of filming my wife running, I also ordered the chest harness for her to use in her ultra marathons and got an email from SJCAM to say that I would need an adapter plate which was free and they would sending to me by tracked mail at no extra charge. This arrived shortly after with a free Underwater filter included.I’m also looking forward to getting a car kit so I can use it as a dash cam and the only reason I haven’t strapped it to my motorbike yet, is simply because sadly it has a rather large hole in the radiator at the minute....In summary, I’m so happy that I managed to get exactly what I wanted at a fair price, a price that is so much cheaper than a Go-Pro and as far as I can see, just as good! Some may disagree, but of course it is a matter of personal preference and there is plenty of information and footage out there to be able to make an informed choice.I had read some negative comments about the customer service from SJCAM, but I have experienced the complete opposite. I think they are superb.To say I love my camera is an understatement, I have no affiliation to SJCAM or Amazon so this is a a completely unbiased opinion from your average joe in the street.

Really good camera, great picture quality albeit with some lag at 4K. I use mine at 2K with a higher refresh rate. Previously owned an SJCAM SJ2000 which I think had a much nicer menu and was far easier to use. The M10 has a very fiddly menu.At 6 months old, having never used the camera for anything other than filming my kids in the garden the camera developed a sound fault - a high pitched whining noise can be heard during video playback. Amazon are unable to replace so I have contacted the manufacturer directly.Awaiting response.

Great value for money. I research which was the best cheap action camera and this one did not disappoint. Lots of features and great quality footage and images!

Horrible experience with this item. It does not switch on. The battery is charged, but does not turn on. In addition there is no pre-paid return label and I must also pay to send it back. The items from this shop are not reliable. In addition I also lost the 10% discount. To avoid absolutely

Outstanding piece of kit. Picture quality is very acceptable and there seems little point in spending significantly more just for a name.I will admit that whilst the SJCam Build quality is excellent, there are one or two nuances with GoPro that would be nice on SJCams' generally. But, I tell you what, with the development appetite that SJCam have and their true desire to produce a professional action camera, they will get there and it wont cost many £100's.Meanwhile enjoy this offering you wont be disappointed, in fact just the opposite.

Die SJ6 Legend Kamera und das mitgelieferte Actiongehäuse sind der solide und topp verarbeitet, ebenso das mitgelieferte Zubehör. Das Gehäuse schließt dicht ab und die Verriegelung ist sicher für unebenes Gelände und sicher auch unter Wasser.Die Bedienung über die einzelnen Knöpfe ist schnell selbsterklärend nachdem die Sprache angepasst wurde. Die beigelegte Anleitung ist nicht wirklich nötig und hat den Namen eher nicht verdient.Die Qualität der Aufnahmen ist für diese Preisklasse wirklich einwandfrei und lässt sich sicher mit der viel teureren Marke vergleichen. Der eingebaute, schaltbare Gyro funktioniert sehr ordentlich und ist für den normalen Gebrauch ausreichend.Die Akkulaufzeit lag bei mir bei mehr als einer Stunde Daueraufnahme/Video. 4k/ 24fps, 2k 30fps und 1080P 60fps sind die Modi mit höchster Auflösung. Zyklische Aufnahmen sind machbar und das Objektiv ist in 3 Aufnahme-Modi nutzbar: Wide, Middle und Narrow – selbsterklärend denke ich.Ein Datumsstempel kann eingeblendet und das Video Ausgabeformat ausgewählt werden.Dies nur ein kleiner Auszug; wie gesagt: auch ohne Anleitung selbsterklärend.Per App kann die SJ6 Legend fernbedient werden. Die Cam baut ein WLAN Netwerk auf in die sich das Smartphone einwählt und so Fotos übertragen werden und die Steuerung per Smartphone erfolgt.Mit 2 Smartphones erfolgreich getestet was ja nicht selbstverständlich ist.Meine 64GB Micro SD Karte wurde erkannt und als Speicher eingebunden. Natürlich empfiehlt sich die Verwendung einer schnellen Speicherkarte um Ruckler bei der Aufzeichnung zu vermeiden.Beim Ton gibt's nichts zu bemängeln.Wie man auf der Produktabbildung gut erkennen kann bietet die SJ6 Legend ein zweites Display auf der Vorderseite welches die augenblickliche Funktion anzeigt. Interessant natürlich als Kontrolle der Aufnahmezeit und ob die Cam aufzeichnet.Das Zubehör ist umfangreich; das Nötigste ist dabei. Ergänzt habe ich noch einen Saugnapfhalten für die Windschutzscheibe des KFZ. Besonders erwähnen möchte ich den im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Objektivschutz – nur eine Kleinigkeit die aber nicht unwichtig ist.Alles an Zubehör, was Halterungen, Adapter usw. angeht, ist kompatibel mit den Produkten anderer Anbieter.Alles in allem eine absolute Kaufempfehlung. Gutes Preis/leistungsverhältnis, Optik und Qualität die sich in diesem Preissegment sehen lassen kann.

Purtroppo ho ricevuto un prodotto difettoso, ed è davvero un peccato perché il rapporto qualità-prezzo era davvero ottimo ( se solo la qualità ci fosse stata), a primo impatto sembrava andare tutto okay, ma poi la action cam ha cominciato a surriscaldarsi, si bloccava in continuazione e non dava più segni di vita. Davvero deludente
