Der Stift eignet sich hervorragend zum ätzen von Leiterplatten mit Natriumpersulfat. Der 140s oder der 8400 wird von der Säure angegriffen, sodass nicht mehr wirklich verwendbare Leiterbahnen rauskommen. Dieser Edding hat das Problem überhaupt nicht mehr. Aber er ist auch schwer zu entfernen.
