Fantastic Harness! My Kitty Loves It!
I absolutely love this harness. It is very comfortable for my kitty. He adjusted quickly with training and loves romping outside daily. This harness allows for maximum mobility so my kitty can jump, run, leap, lie down, and walk with ease and comfort. It is very easy to put on and extremely secure as long as you’re keeping your harness leash in the “harness safety zone”. That is true for ALL harnesses. The leash safety zone is anywhere from above the cats head to behind the cats head, with slack on the leash ideally. Walking a cat is not like walking a dog. It is for enriching your cat. If you want your cat to be highly mobile while using the harness, it is best to pair it with a form of mobility. Either training your cat to go on the shoulder. Use a backpack carrier. Or Stroller for pets. My cat loves all of these! That will keep your cat moving forward when you want, but also the harness will give you safety and protection for your kitty and allow your kitty to romp and explore along the way. THERE ARE NO ESCAPE PROOF HARNESSES. So you must use proper harness safety technique when walking your kitty. If your harness goes in front of your cats head with a tight leash they CAN pull themselves out of any harness potentially. So you must prevent that position as much as possible. Also, never force your cat. Sometimes my kitty loves going outside (almost every day!) But there are days where he prefers to stay indoors. That’s OK too. I highly recommend watching. Albert & Mia’s YouTube channel @outdoorbengle for additional training instruction, tips & great advice! All of their products are high-quality and amazing. I especially love the Feastfuls kitty chicken treats for daily clicker training. Very healthy and low calorie. I also have the Albert & Mia clicker training kit with cards. And the travel litter box. All excellent quality and highly recommended This harness comes with a 6 foot leash. But we very quickly graduated to a 15 foot and 30 foot leash. I prefer my leash to be brightly colored. You can see in the video how quickly my kitty learned to love the harness. I used gogurt-style treat tubes for training during the first couple weeks. Now I only use the healthy chicken when putting on the harness to keep him still. Which he loves also.! I have a 1 1/2 year old adult Devon Rex male who is 7 1/2 pounds. I purchased the medium. He wears it on the smallest setting. Enjoy!

Good harness
I love this harness! I have a female Siamese cat and this fits her really well even when she was a kitten and still does now that she’s an adult thanks to the adjustability of the straps. The buckle is very strong and she has never been able to escape I also appreciate there is nothing pulling on her neck and it keeps me happy knowing she’s safe and can’t chock

Perfect for My Blind Cat – Secure, Easy to Use, and High Quality!
I have a 9 lb, 3-year-old blind cat (she has no eyes—just fluff!), and this harness has been absolutely perfect for her. She’s confident and adventurous, but due to past trauma, she’s a little head- and face-shy, especially when putting things over her head or cleaning her face. She also hates feeling too restricted. Below I added everything I loved about this harness, and things I would have loved to know before buying! Hope this helps :) Functionality: 10/10 This harness is amazing. The high-quality material holds its shape well, so I can easily slip it over her head with one hand—no need to hold her down or make her stay perfectly still. Once it’s over her head, I just slide the stopper, clip the straps, and we’re good to go in seconds. There’s no confusion or struggle, which is huge for my blind girly. Fit: True to Size (and adjustable) I was torn between sizes (S/M) and ended up sizing down to a small—so glad I did! Unless you have a very large cat (like a Maine Coon or over weight kitty), I’d recommend the medium for cats 10.5 lbs+ and the small for 10lb and below. Thanks to the adjustable straps, I got a perfect fit, and there’s still plenty of room left on the strap that connects to the leash ring. Compared to Other Harnesses: I’ve tried the PetSafe Gentle Leader harness in the past, which is similar in style, but this one is miles better. The PetSafe version is flimsier, doesn’t hold its shape (making it harder to get on), the chest support is tiny and made of hard plastic, and the stopper isn’t very secure. This harness fixes all of those issues. Safety & Security: Since my cat is blind, it’s crucial that her harness is secure and reliable in case something spooks her. I did a good tug test, and there’s little to no chance she could back out of this. That gives me so much peace of mind. Durability: Excellent Everything from the hardware to the fabric feels high quality. The leash feels like the same high quality material as the harness and it is a decent length . The chest support looks like it’s made from a water-resistant material, and I can tell this harness is going to last us a long time.

Works for my skinny mini cat
My cat is legit Houdini. He is super skinny and slides out of every other harness I've bought. This works phenomenally well and is easy to put on my very stubborn cat. He walks easily with it and it's not restrictive at all. I bought two of these so far. The first one lasted 2 years before the tightening clip broke. I wish it lasted a little longer but I still bought another one because of how great it works.

My cat escaped and we lost him
I want to warn anyone before use with a cat: make sure your cat is already accustomed to being in a harness and leash, and you do it in a safe area, nearby, or enclosed area first , because we didn’t know better and did our leash training in a park close by our home. He escaped. We searched and waited for hours and we had to go home without him and will be back at it the morning. I want anyone reading this avoid this crisis. We thought we had it on snug. And he was still able to wiggle himself out before we were able to stop him. It all happened very fast and a cat in a panicked state can do more than you can imagine. I wanted this product because it was marketed as being escape proof and it looked really comfortable. I now prefer to get the bulky one if that promises me security. The risk is NOT worth taking and I strongly suggest making sure you both know the temperament of your cat AND testing out for a fact that the harness is as fully secure as it could be (safely of course). This product may be great and right for but I’m only sharing my experience. There’s a chance we could have made it more snug but we really did think it was. He slipped out like it was nothing. However he seem very comfortable in it for a cat thats never been in one before. Edit: we were praying through this crisis and my cat was found meowing at our patio early in the morning. I don’t know he found his way back as we were going to search for him near the park again. God gave us a miracle.

Worked well for petite adult long fur newbie
This worked well for us. The adjustable slider on the back made adjustment after putting it on easy. This is for an adult cat that has never even worn a collar before, much less a harness and it couldn’t have been easier. The photos in the booklet were enough to figure out how to put it on. The lightweight leash was too short for our Flash. I attached a 30 food dog leash to the short leash. The short leash is lighter and nicer for our small cat to have hanging onto the latch on her back and the waterproof long line we have was the perfect addition so she could get frisky without restraint. Flash is a petite long fur cat. so this minimal small halter worked well for her

The best one I've found
This is a great little contraption. Easy to put on. Very secure and lightweight. I ordered one before that was just too heavy and too bulky. He can barely move in it. This one is perfect. And so far he has not been able to escape from it.

This harness has been upgraded!
Hello, I have changed my review seen below( published 7/24/24) from 1-star to 5-star because it is upgraded & the new version is definitely much improved. The principal designer contacted me after I contacted him by email (not the website). He offered his apology for my issue with the harness. He said the harness had been modified and the neck clip had been upgraded to resist 100lbs of force at the beginning of this year, and he was surprised that the old version was still being sold. He sent me a new one & my 14lb all muscle male Bengal has tested it thoroughly in his efforts to catch chipmunks in our yard. He is quite strong & an amazing gymnast. I like the Houdini harness more than any of the others he’s tried mainly because it offers much more freedom of movement. I do not allow him to backout of it by always keeping the leash behind him, because most cats can escape from most harnesses using that move including all the other escape proof or resistant harnesses we tested (3). The Houdini is lighter weight than the others I tried, and that, and its unique design (it tightens with extra forward strain) are what makes it more comfortable while still being secure. 7/24/24 review follows: This is very hard to do because at first, I loved this harness. It fit well and in early training my Bengal cat Loki tested it well with incredible acrobatics to try and get it off. When I finally left our house with complete confidence that he was secure. We had very pleasant walks until something spooked him and he leaped and twisted in front of me several times and I finally got him calmed down. He was still in the harness but when I bent down to examine him, I found the loop around his neck was very loose and I soon realized that the clasp at the top that keeps the band around his neck that attaches to the leash had snapped. He was seconds away from dashing into the woods. I got him safely into the house and wrote a note to the seller at his "outdoor Bengal" website asking for help, because they don't offer support via Amazon but I did not hear back. So bottom line I can’t recommend this harness because it can come apart releasing your possibly frightened cat into a potentially dangerous situation. Hopefully this review will result an upgrade in this critical component.
