Used to connect HDMI output only computer to an old vga only monitor.
I used this to connect a Raspberry pi 3b computers hdmi to an old Dell lcd monitor that only has a vga socket. It worked as expected.

Poor design, likely faulty too
The VGA connector barely screws into the connector and wobbles around to the point where it falls out occasionally and the HDMI cable requires support. On top of that, when it is plugged in, it occasionally disconnects randomly and reappears with the entire screen having a yellow or purple tint, before changing back to normal. I would recommend looking at alternative products with a better build quality.

It works!
What can I say! Excellent product. On the odd occasion I WFH, I need two monitors, work provided one, but I need an extra screen. I had an old monitor, which only had vga input, and my laptop, only HDMI output. This compact adapter did the job. Compact, easy to install, brilliant price!

Works brilliant
I got this as all the hdmi ports on my tv were broken and I was gonna buy a new one but this thing, which was less than a fiver saved me a lot of money and works perfect. Great little device
