I read this book to my class (age 7) to compliment a lesson I was doing about resilience. The boys and girls cheered at the end of the story. I think they enjoyed it!

Thinner book but with strong moral. Motivates kids and adults!

So good, my godson loves it.

Bought this for my partner, a total basketball obsessed fan of mr jordan. He loved it and now reads it to our son, who isn't that interested in basketball but loves a good story! Lovelt illustrations and a feel good story behind this inspirational tale of a boy done good!

I bought this for my 5 yr old son who has recently become interested in basketball and Michael Jordan. He enjoyed listening to the story. I thought the story was good but not fantastic, however I loved the illustrations. One criticism for me would be the Christian/religious nature of the book. I didn't read the page where Michael's mother prays to God, as my 5 year old would not have understood prayer or the concept of God, maybe when he's a bit older. But otherwise a lovely story.

I first bought this book for my son years ago and have since bought the book many times over for children in my life. The message is sweet and the illustrations are absolutely beautiful. The story is told by Michael Jordan's mom and any basketball lover would appreciate this book as a gift. A younger child who needs encouragement to "never give up" will benefit from this precious book.
