Onigiri Mold, Stainless Steel Rice Ball Mold Sushi Maker, Classic Triangle Spam Musubi Mold for Kids Lunch Bento and Home DIY

We got this to make our own tuna onigiri for our son.... He saw a few videos, and wanted to try onigiri. We got this so that we could turn this into a little family activity. This is super simple and easy to use. We added the rice and tune mix by hand, this pressed out onigiri of heaven! I was a little worried about the build quality, that being said we made 30 onigiri in one sitting. This press didn't even blink an eye. I was able to take it apart and clean it with ease. Would recommend for anyone that want to make there own!

Works fantastic.

This mold is straight forward to use. Put a layer of rice and then layer in your filling in middle and top it off with more rice. Press down and out comes the onigiri. Easy to clean with simple un-screw and take apart the two piece to wash in dishwasher. In order to keep rice from sticking to my mold, I soak it in a bowl of water in between making the onigiris. That seems to do the trick. However, with sushi rice and water, the mold at times gets slippery. As a result, sometimes it is hard to push the pin down while holding the mold resulting in mis-formed onigiri. I think this is better than a plastic triangle as it is stainless steel making it easy to clean and reuse. Next up, going to get some pre-packaged seaweed that are made for onigiri. Finally got some pre-packaged seaweed. Pretty close to the real thing!

Before the Choxila mold, I had one made of glues plexiglass. This one 100x better since I don't feel like it will break while using it. Taking it apart for cleaning only takes a couple seconds. I don't see myself replacing this musubi mold any time soon.

Does what it’s suppose to. It’s detachable for washing. If you leave it intact it won’t really dry. Good price and functional. Right size and easy to use
