A healthy dose of history!
This is a great book for those interested in Egyptian lore and mythology. Understand stories that predate history and revel in the themes of ancient peoples. One of the most complex and profound civilizations in human history was also one of the most mysterious. Let the author shed a light on Egypt to expose the forgotten secrets. A cool book just for the factoids and trivia. Brush up on your Egyptian!

A lot of interesting information
There's a ton of information in here and the book is well-written and thorough. It reads more like a reference book than anything else - not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'd say this is more for people who want to bone up on their knowledge rather than those of us who are looking for a mixture of entertainment along with their facts.

Good book
I love the book. Two requests tho. Include pronunciation guides next to the god names and maybe add some illustrations. But overall, I love this book

If you enjoy mythology and ancient history, you'll love this book!
Mythology in all its forms has always captivated me, and I like that this author has explored a wide range of mythologies. I read this just after finishing Uncovering Norse Mythology, and I wasn't let down. It's a fantastic book for learning about Egyptian mythology. Not only does it refresh our memories of classroom material, but it also provides extensive information about lesser deities, the realm of underworld ordinary people, and much more. If you enjoy mythology and ancient history, you'll love this book!

Fascinating Trivia
I'm always fascinated by these kinds of books, especially when they are well written and can pique my interest like this one does. One thing I learned from this book, and I found it especially interesting, is that historic Egypt does not have a monolithic mythology. The gods and myths vary from region to region and Egypt has at least four creation myths. Although, I wish the author would have included some graphics, well done!
