No more wandering Dodge Cummins 4x4!
Great replacement for the original equipment stabilizer on my 2004 Ram 2500 4x4! This took all the wondering out and made the steering feel more direct. Great product. My truck has a Cummins with 35 inch BFG KO2's on stock 8" rims and 172,000 miles. It's had the whole front end rebuilt (with the exception of the stabilizer) and the Spyntec locking front hub conversion. Initially the Spyntec kit eliminated the front driveshaft vibration and removed the heavy feeling steering and, what I've just found out, MOST of the wandering. The icing on the cake has been this Bilstein damper. It has eliminated ALL the wandering. (By wandering I mean occasional following of large grooves in the road, sometimes feeling like your chasing the truck down the road with the steering wheel). Truck now goes straight down the road where I point it. AND... as suggested elsewhere soaking the "connical bolt" with PB Blaster or some such product helps along with a good sized hammer. Took just a few minutes of persuading and the old bolt came free. Looks cool under the front end as well.

Bilstein Is The Way To Go!
I recenfly a 2004 Ram 3500 pickup and one of the first things I knew I had to do was replace the worn out Rancho steering stabilizer with a Bilstein. I used my 1/2 impact and an adjustable wrench to get the old and rusted one off and I put the new one on with no issues. Don’t forget to put some anti seize on the new threads to make it even easier the next time you have to do a replacement. It’s a super easy job to do and it can be done in your driveway with no lifts in under 20 minutes, especially if you have an impact and a wrench. Since the truck is a Dodge, and 20 years old, it has some looseness in the steering, but this stabilizer made an immediate and noticeable difference. For the price of this, it’s well worth it and the silver appearance looks great under the truck.

2008 Dodge Ram 3500
I needed to replace what appeared to be the original steering damper on my truck; there wasn't much resistance on the piston anymore. I got the Bilstein damper to go with the shocks. I initially ordered the wrong damper as I thought it would come with the bolt to attach to the steering linkage: it didn't and the bolt off the original cannot be reused. This is the correct one to get if you need the steering damper with the bolt for attachment to the steering linkage as it is permanently attached. The steering damper works very well and is easy to install, which takes probably 30 minutes with the removal of the old one. Don't forget the pickle fork either!

Fits perfectly. Feel an improvement.
This was installed on a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 with a 5.9. I occasionally got some death wobble on the same section of road. I immediately felt the difference after installation. Steering felt tighter. I tested it over the same section of road a few times. No more wobble issues. Looks well built too.

Easy Replacement and Bilstein Quality
2005 D2005 Dodge 2500 Cummins Quad Cab 146K miles. Fairly easy replacement only specialized tool I needed was a pickle fork. Truck is used primarily for towing and hauling. We towed our 5th Wheel from the West Coast to Canada twice, Montana and Wyoming 4 times, Minnesota twice and all the way to Niagara Falls. Steering became very bad. Replaced steering gear box, added a steering stabilizer from Big D Off Road, LLC., and a new inner tie-rod. So I decided it was about time to replace what I think is the original steering damper. With all these changes my truck steers a whole lot better, but I do not know how much the Bilstein steering damper contributed. I selected Bilstein because I have not liked the results I have had with Monroe on my other vehicle. odge 2500 Cummins Quad Cab 146K miles. Truck used primarily for towing and hauling. Purchased this product because my dual rough country stabilizer was rubbing up against my aftermarket diff. After my product arrived I removed the rough country stabilizers that were shot anyways after only 30k on them..but that's another story of poor quality. Anyways this stabilizer did a better job then my dual stabilizers and doesn't make my steering pump squeel. I can see why this company's rep is so good. I will be replacing my struts next with bilstein. Product delivery was a day early as well.

Received the first package with a hole in the damaged carton missing a bolt I returned and reordered and turns out that it doesn’t fit my 06 dodge 3500 without modifying. Ended up grinding the post off to make it work so took twice as long to install. If you order this part make sure that you either need or don’t need the mounting post
