I have looked at a number of window robots; this one seemed the best for a moderate price. We have a 4 story townhouse with limited access to the rear where there is a carpark. It is only possible to get a window cleaning service in at the weekends and at a cost of around €100/ cleaning. This robot makes regular cleaning easy and paid for itself quickly. Don't expect it to do a perfect job on the first go. I started with both pads with cleaner to get the worst of a couple of years of grunge. Did a second pass as instructed with one pad dry. Finally a third pass with both pads dry. I think a once a month cleaning will be fine after the initial cleaning. It misses corners but not a problem with windows that open. Pads clean up easily in a gentle wash cycle. Some tips: plug it in and leave it for a half hour to charge the on board backup battery; turn it on by pressing and HOLDING the power button until the vacuum starts; instructions are poor so just put it on the inside of a window and play with the remote buttons.

easy to use and gives a very good smear free clean. i live on the 2nd storey and outside access to clean the windows can be a problem. not with this thing. did every window inside and out. also used it on a large mirror and that came up brilliantly. it doesn't get right into the corners but thats a minor quibble considering how well it does the rest. very pleased with purchase and would recommend

I made sure it was a very dry day, no water on my window at all. But unfortunately it smeared so badly, leaving those round circles on my window! Very disappointing!

Operating instructions are almost unreadable. Best stick with the overview instructions to get started. Robot appears solidly constructed but the covering pads seem very thin so don't know how long these will last. It doesn't get right into the corners but only a small area is missed. Need to finish by hand. Remote control works well. Useful device for cleaning tall / large windows but bear in mind you will still have to go up a ladder to start the robot off on higher panes glass i.e. it can't navigate to the next frame because the suction would be lost if it crossed a frame. Also, the windows have to be fairly clean to start with as the device will not clean very grimy glass, therefore useful for maintenance rather than deep cleaning.

Manual cleaning windows is best - let's face it most opening d/g windows slide for easy cleaning. If you have a small window opening upwards, then this is too big it needs room to turn and swing. For bigger windows and those that don't open, this does an adequate job. It's not perfect - you know it won't clean the corners, and the right and left edges aren't perfect in auto mode, more on that later. First off, the cleaner needed 2 hours to charge before red light goes green. The manual calls it different colours, but it's red. Having only used it over one day, I don't know how much of this charge will carry over to the next time. It is a bit noisy, but no passer-by even looked up - it sounds like someone vacuuming their car. Do as it suggests and use a dry pads first. Using wet ones will smear any dirt all over. Then, change the pads - I used Method window cleaner as I usually use this, but that was a mistake as it left smears. What did work was distilled water. Get it from your garage or from Amazon. I dampened both pads in blobs around their edges, and this cleaned off most of the smears I'd made earlier. Being distilled the water will leave no calcium marks behind if you have hard water. It says dampen the bottom one only, but apart from first climbing up the window, the bottom one will never reach the top of the glass, so I dampened them both. The top and bottom edges it does quite well in auto mode, but the left and right it just bumps into and moves away again, not really a wipe. What you can do, once it has finished, is direct it manually back up the window, and as it does this horizontally the bottom or top sweep up the side for you. It didn't completely remove some old bird poo. I changed from dry to damp pads for each window. It does use a few, there are lots in the box, as they are cupped inside each other in pairs. Then chuck them in the washer. Overall, it will much improve your windows, once you get the smears worked out. It's not perfect, but if the alternative is them not being done at all, this is good enough.

We have very tall window (almost 6 m) and it was a big problem to clean it. This robot is a great little helper - the windows are sparkling now, it does leave some smudges sometimes but i just rerun it with a clean pad, also the corners are not perfect, but for those huge windows is the perfect thing

Wow. Am very impressed. Misses corners a little- but makes an excellent helping hand. Sometimes need to re-focus the units direction to ensure covers full window area. Excellent for all windows, but especially good for out of reach, or exterior windows. Only downside - would suggest, dont use any ‘windowleen’ Type product. As leaves buffer marks. Works fine without. Dont scrimp on using plenty of cloths. I bought an extra 16. Good investment. Not sure if the Square unit would clean more thoroughly- but happy with this for the price. Have loaned to friends, who have also now purchased one also.

THIS IS THE 3RD ONE I HAVE BOUGHT . I HAB=VE ONE MYSELF ANTHE OTHER TWO WERE GIFTS, WHEN FRIENDS SEE IT IN ACTION THEY WANT ONE. IT IS A REALLY GREAT MACHINE FOR THOSE WHO HATE CLEANING WINDOWS LIKE MYSELF. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS I WISH IT COULD DO FRAMLESS TABLES AND SCREENS
