The official standard of a small fan heater.
Literally the best heater you can buy. Blows very strong heat at its highest setting for warming up anything or anyone quickly but also has very fluid heat controls for other use cases. The overheat and tip protections work very well and I tested them myself. Finally the fact Dimplex has been around for so long I trust the product to work for years and years. It’s a little on the pricey side but I am sure most people would spend a little bit more and know you have a good reliable and safe brand. Excellent product.

Quality maintained.
Good quality product and works effectively, hot or cold. This purchase replaces a very old Dimplex and pleased to say quality has been maintained.

Very Unobtrusive Quality Item
Dimplex is an good old company name and this fan has a real quality look. The range of control options is excellent as it can operate hot or cool and is not noisy in operation. It heats up in minutes, ideal for a room where you don't want to put on the whole central heating yet. Ideal for facing into an en-suite or bathroom. It looks and feels good quality and it is very neat and unobtrusive. Excellent buy!

Great value for money
I've had this heater for about a week now, so I'll leave a review. - Thermostat: Probably the best thing about this heater. It can heat up and turn off when a certain temperature is reached. This saves energy and is really good if you're worried about your electricity bill. You have to fiddle around with it a lot to get it to work right though, I'd recommend using a room thermometer. - Heating performance: Heats up a small to medium size room in a matter of minutes. I live in a small apartment and only use the heater for one room and it keeps me warm all day even on the lowest thermostat settings. - Noise: Noise is average for a fan heater, depends on the proximity to yourself really, definitely quieter than some fan heaters I've had in the past but all fan heaters are going to be noisy. I'd recommend using headphones if you're watching something and the heater is right next to you. (I have a fairly small bedroom).

Becomes Unreliable - Avoid !
I have two (2kW and 3kW) and both now have the same fault: after a minute or two on full power they cut out completely and take a minute or two before turning on again. This cycle continues indefinitely. It's not because the desired temperature has been reached, it seems that the thermostat has a very primitive mechanical type of integral action (search PID Control to learn more) and this becomes unreliable after a year or two. It's a poor design anyway: they need three heat output levels not two, and the full on / fully off thermostat is irritating. Instead, they need to have thyristor control that smoothly varies the output from 0-100% to maintain the required temperature. Poor value as well.

A great little fan heater with lots of heating power
Bought this to heat a cold back kitchen. We tried a 2kw ceramic heater first and it just couldn't get the temp up. This conventional 3kw fan heater, on the other hand, belts out enough heat to get the room warmed up in no time at all. The thermostat works really well too and works to keep the unit ticking on and off so that the desired room temp is maintained. Unlike other thermostats I've seen this one does not have a huge gap between off and on, meaning that the room doesn't cool too much before the unit turns on again. All in all very impressed. 3kw of quick, strong heating power. In terms of noise - there is the kind of noise you'd expect from a conventional fan heater. Not bad at all, and with the thermostat clicking on and off, the fan isn't on all the time anyway.
