Unhinged Cain (Buchanan Brothers) Paperback – 27 Oct. 2022

Unhinged is one word to describe this book. This is the darkest book I’ve read and my mind was blown, I started off reading thinking how on earth was I supposed to fall for Cain, when he is EVIL. and I did fall. I was on tender-hooks the entire time. It’s an incredible story that is so messed up and really tests your limits. The last third definitely solidified to me that I was obsessed with this man. I loved Kirby too, our unsuspecting heroine who had her entire life controlled by others, doing everything to please them whilst living without existing, it’s ironic that she found that captured by Cain.I absolutely need to talk about the twin dynamic here. Cain and Abel.. our sick boys. Are a team. Abel is the hyperactive, insane, actions first think later counterpart to Cains methodological, obsessive compulsive self and Christ it works. Cain is evil but Christ Abel is worse. We get to explore their childhood and the ascension into what they do and how it started off.It’s such a brilliant, brilliant book and definitely one of my favourites of the year, if not my absolute favourite.Abel has his own story following on from this one called Twisted Abel.

This is an enjoyable, thrilling, dark and twisted read. It's definitely worth reading in fact I would probably read again and I don't say that about many books. The character's draw you in. I also fell a little bit in love with a serial killer. Would definitely recommend this book.

This book was beyond what I could ever have expected. Its so so so sooooo dark and yet.. delicious. I can't say too much without spoiling it for you but be prepared to be throuroughly shocked. Even in the first few chapters. There are things that Cain and Abel do things that you think you'll find irredeemable and yet somehow, at least in this book, Cain was.This book blew my mind, read it in a day, barely ate because I was simply so engrossed I forgot 😅There were times the book got so dark and had to put it down and take a mental breather, in my mind though this is a sign of a great, engaging story!Thank you Cross for giving me something I didn't know I needed! If I could give a book 20 stars I would 😁

I like dark reads and this was dark. Unfortunately for me it was the wrong kind of dark. I didn’t like Cain and couldn’t forgive his killings. He didn’t care who his victims were and took too much pleasure in torturing them before killing them. That’s a step too far for me.Also I’m curious if he kept his jars of pickled eyeballs.

I don’t know WHAT it says about me, but gosh darn it, I loved this book 😳 I can’t explain it at all, it popped up on my TikTok fyp and I was intrigued. It didn’t fail me at all. I was in a bit of a slump to books holding my attention and this GRIPPED IT (like Cains and to Kirby’s thrøat 😜)Anywho, off to download Abel’s book, and I’m slightly scared 😅

This story is dark and deliciously Twisted! Cain and his brother Abel have particular tastes in their dark minds. Kirby has no idea the type of man Cain is let alone the attention she's now got. Buckle up for a wild ride. The story has depth and good character development through out! With drama, violence, desires, steamy scenes and more! Just wait for his brothers turn!!
