I bought 2 sets of these to replace some cheap ones after I saw some horrible story about how cheap ones can fail. Never good idea to cheap out on safety related things. If you value your life, always use jack stands and bought ones with double locking pins and still place a jack under lift points and tires underneath for triple fail safe

After a whole lot of research, I decided to buy these Jack Stands. I need to start doing my own tire rotations again and other things plus my current Jacks are 30+ years old and in rough shape. Reasons I purchased this brand and type: I can lift and set with one hand. Footpads at base, so they will not dig in or scratch the asphalt or concrete and adds support to the frame. Good welds and well built. Additional Safety features and price. I paid $28 for a set so I bought two (4 stands total). I also purchased jack stand Pads to protect the three or more mid-sized vehicles (Toyota Tacoma and 2 SUVs) I’ll be working on. Torin is a respected name in the industry and this model AT43005AB Specs out to be one of the better ones. I have no desire to pay extra because it has red paint. These work Great and if your in the market for 3 Ton Jack Stands, I highly recommend these.

Overall this is a good jack stand. The welds look reasonably consistent. The locking pins all fit easily and the weight of the stand feels solid. The down side of these is quality control. Two of four jack stands wobble and will need to be ground down to sit flat. The safety pins slide in easily but also fall out easily. There is no hairpin cotter holding them in. For a few pennies more this extra step would be a good idea. I would recommend these but understand you might need to modify them in some way once they arrive. Luck of the draw I think.

I brought these for my son and he Loves them. We used them on our Big Heavy GMC truck,and to see them hold that Big truck up,was a sight to see.And they have these safety latch’s that make you feel really safe, when holding the truck up in place.

This set of stands is very sturdy. I had them to support a 1.5 ton vehicle for three full days (because I couldn’t get a part required in time) without any problem. The welds appear to be nicely done from my necked eye. I like the extra steel bar for added safety albeit it can be a bit difficult to insert and remove because I’d have to position it right. So if you’d prefer fast deployment, this stand would not satisfy your need there. But on the other hand, you would have a visual confirmation of the stand is locked before going underneath the vehicle.
