I have a light coloured carpet in the hallway, not a good idea with 11 grandkids, 1 dog and various other dogs visiting this carpet really shows the dirt and never looks clean.I've tried every "professional" cleaning solution on the market but this one has beaten them all. The trick is to shampoo the carpet with cleaning solution, get it as dry as possible then go back over it and rinse with water only and get it as dry as possible again.By next morning the carpet looks like new and no more pet smells.It got rid of mud, coffee stains, pet accidents, and general wear & tear.I'm very pleased with this shampoo and won't be going back to any of the others.

Good carpet cleaner. Smells fresh, cleaned the carpets better than the standard Vax stuff and eliminated the smell of dogs. Massive tub I managed to to do my whole house thoroughly, twice for when I moved. Arrived in good condition.

When combined with the VAX carpet cleaner it works a charm. I learned the hard way that it's all in how you use the machine - overkill on the wash/rinse buttons will make your carpet sodden and wet the underlay, meaning it never dries properly and will smell stale.For most effective results, fill the clean tank with hot water, hold wash and push the cleaner slowly, then hold no buttons and very slowly pull back - repeat with the rinse option. The mistake I made was being too quick with the machine. The slower you push and pull, the better it works. For really grubby patches I went over them 3-4 times with the wash, making absolute sure they're rinsed and dried properly with the carpet cleaner. The carpets came out looking really great, almost as good as new, got out a wine and tea stain and all of the dark worn patches.The solution itself isn't too soapy, it foams just enough to clean really well but as long as it's not overused, it doesn't foam. It smells fresh, not too strong like a cleaning solution at all, after a carpet has been cleaned it has a linen-like smell but it's not overpowering or strong.The 1.5 litre bottle lasts a while - i've cleaned 7 12sq/ft rooms and nearly just finished the bottle.

The fluid smelled lovely and foamed well. The amount of dirt it lifted was unbelievable! It tackled most stains but not the stubborn ones.! I will definitely buy again but buy a spot cleaner to treat the stronger stains first. Great price!
