Nice box-set, but the organization inside the box is clumsy. There are a lot of disks and they tried to organize them somehow but it's inconvenient. Disks overlap each other and aren't easy to pluck out of the holders. (But probably prevents damage in shipping.) If you want to watch a particular episode you might need to pluck out 3 disks to reach the one you need. Also the season number isn't printed on the disk, only disk number. Thankfully the seasons are at least color-coded. If you have an empty CD/DVD spindle laying around you might as well transfer them to it for easier access. As for the A/V quality - it's Blu-Ray, so no surprises. Review: House MD Blu-Ray - This review is purely about the blu ray quality and packaging, because House has been around for a number of years so most people will know if they like the show or not. So, it comes in a fairly large box that, when the lid is removed, contains all 8 seasons. They cases have completely different covers/pictures to the DVD versions and each case is fairly chunky (about 2 or 3 times standard blu ray cases). The discs are in flip trays. Only fault is that the cases don't close properly. If you attempt to close the case normally it gets to about halfway closed but then gets stuck and a clicking sound occurs. It's fairly hard to explain but you sort of have to squeeze the top and bottom in at the same time then close. Only a minor problem though, everything else is of really high quality. In terms of the actual discs then, one of the major complaints about the DVD's was that they never had no subtitles for seasons 1-6. I played this set on a playstation 3 and subtitles were available in numerous languages. The menu's are all very nice, only complaint is that when you get to the main menu they use icons i.e there's a house icon that takes you back home, a book which is scene select etc). It's a bit confusing as to what all these icons mean at first, text would have been better. Although I can't go into technical details, the discs look so much better in blu ray. I remember on TV the colour of the older episodes was horrible - but here it is clear and crisp and much more colourful. It becomes especially obvious when the camera zooms into the body, and you can see the blood cells travelling round the body. Sound seems good too. Personally, I rate House as one of the best shows ever so this was a no brainer for me to get. So far this set hasn't disappointed, and I'm looking forward to watching this great series all over again. When you consider that most new TV shows are available on desertcart for around £20-£30 a series, this set represent fairly good value for money too IMO. As mentioned in the comments though it is available for £3 cheaper elsewhere.

Awesome
Great compilation of series 1-8. It’s amazing that Hugh Laurie doesn’t appear to have gone to stage school because his acting is exceptionally good. You can easily forget that he’s English as he acts a damaged, brilliant, American doctor. You have to suspend disbelief when they undertake medical procedures incorrectly, but at least they put a stethoscope on the right way around, which most medical dramas get wrong. It arrived in 2 extra thick DVD sized boxes, containing 22 and 24 discs respectively. The discs contain the episodes and some extra features. The only negative issue with these discs is the FACT advert at the end of every episode which is very annoying when you’ve paid for the genuine article - I suspect counterfeit discs would have this removed. Superb value for money and very enjoyable, addictive entertainment.

Good release, great price.
Reference- reviewed using a 46" Samsung LED TV only 1 year old, and an award winning Panasonic Blu Ray player, also a year old, both top of the range pieces of equipment. Iv waited a long time for House to be released on blu ray in its entirety, something I never actually expected to occur. I'll start with the packaging, very reminiscent of the black dvd box set in its structure, I find the outer white box to be less impressive than the black one, it just doesn't look as cool. Internally though, the individual internal cases are much better, uniform in looks and with different, better box art than the old dvd editions, and the case art matches the outer box too, so overall less imagination but more thought put into the packaging of this set. It's larger than the black dvd set too, if like me you use your media collection as a display piece. Audio quality is good, but presently I don't have a sophisticated sound system, so will leave that to another reviewer. Video quality. Well there is a big problem here for me- Iv seen Star Trek The Next Generation on bluray. On that show, the video was painstakingly and expensively restored and upgraded frame by frame, and the result is evident on the quality of the video. With House, it's my opinion that little to no upgrading was done, the show was obviously filmed with HD cameras and the blu rays have been made direct from those original recordings, no messing. The later seasons are fabulous, but earlier seasons, especially the first suffers from a lot of graininess in darker scenes, blurred shots and a general lack of the sharpness that one has come to expect from blu ray. Generally the video quality is at it's low point in season one, and gets better as it goes on. Seasons 6-8 (strangely, the ones previously released!) are nearly perfect. HOWEVER this is not the issue for me. I'm assuming anyone who is considering buying this has seen house on dvd. The first season on dvd suffers from full frame video and generally rubbish video quality. Despite the lack of shock and awe on the quality of the blu ray picture, it's still 100x better than the dvd picture. For this reason, perfect or not, it's a great upgrade for the true house fan. In conclusion, I feel they could and perhaps should have put a bit more effort into this blu ray release, but that would have effected the price, this box set is currently on amazon for just £75, less than £10 per season, which is great!

Fantastic - A must buy for fans.
This review is for the Blu-Ray box set not DVD. What can I say? All 8 seasons in HD for £60? I'd only seen a handful of episodes before I bought the set but I already knew that I wanted to watch the whole set. A brilliant buy and a great price. Exterior and interior packaging/boxes a very nicely designed and of good quality. With a TV capable of a good HD picture, the picture quality is fantastic, even the older series' that would've originally been filmed in standard definition. Audio is good with plenty of subtitle choice throughout all seasons. Menus clean and uncluttered and interesting bonus features. A word on the content of the series, if you've never seen House, check out an old episode online or TV first. I've seen people complain about it after they've bought it even though they've never watched it before. Not a smart move. All in all a stellar product that the show deserves. Highly recommended.

House box set
I used to love this series when it was on TV, so when it popped up on an Amazon daily deal it was a no brainer and a must have. Straight into the basket without hesitation!
