Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: Deluxe Illustrated Slipcase Edition

I have bought this as a Christmas present for my teenage grand daughter - the second one I have bought for her and although they are quite expensive they are absolutely stunning and as she will look after them worth every penny I paid for delivery on Monday and it arrived today Sunday so thank you Amazon and all your staff who work so hard to get our goods to us on time

I have all the books available in this series. The book is gorgeous - really good quality. This version is larger than the normal illustrated ones so does make it big to hold if you are reading it but worth it to have such a nice edition.

Update: Received a copy for Christmas and looks like this issue has been resolved. Update: Ordered this book again after almost a year and the issue has still not been resolved! This isn't a review in the book itself as it is, like the before it, excellent. My issue is that I've ordered 3 of these books over the past couple of months and have had to return all 3 due to the gold gilding on the pages being worn off. That's not what I expect from a book of this price. I have told both Amazon and the publisher, Bloomsbury, about this issue and am yet to see a resolution. If you order this for yourself or a gift, please be sure to check the gilding. I hope that this problem will be resolved soon.

This book is worth every penny. I bought all 4 of them and they are up there with my most prized possessions. Absolutely outstanding. Amazing.

Price is really high, but it is worth any penny you may spend for this wonderful books with Jim Kay's beautiful images

Little pricey but bought on discount cycle. No other words but stunning!! Impressive artistry and superb quality overall. Joy to feel and see.

Je suis une fan d'Harry Potter. Ce livre de collection est tout simplement époustouflant. La couverture et son caisson sont recouvert de tissus avec des images dorées. Les pages sont épaisses donnant un effet encore plus luxueux. Les images sont magnifiques. Le livre est beaucoup plus grand que la version régulière, les rendant moins "pratique" par leur grosseur et leur poids. Je recommanderais d'acheter la version régulière si le livre est pour un enfant, premièrement parce qu'il serait plus facile à lire et deuxièmement parce qu'il est beaucoup moins dispendieux. Ceci étant dit, ce livre est merveilleux et a fait revivre ma flamme pour Harry Potter. P.S. Ceci est le troisième livre de la collection que j'achète, et le troisième livre qui arrive avec un défaut. Le caisson avait un velcro de coller qui a laissé une marque. Amazon offre un excellent service et j'ai pu l'échanger rapidement, mais assurez-vous que votre livre est en parfait état dès que vous le recevez afin de l'échanger avant qu'il ne soit trop tard, surtout au prix qu'il coûte!!!

Für mich als Fan schöner Büchereditionen war auch Teil 3 der Deluxe Illustrated Editions von Bloomsbury wieder ein Pflichtkauf. Der Inhalt ist identisch mit der normalen Prisoner of Azkaban Version und setzt die spannende Geschichte um Harry, Ron und Hermine nahtlos fort, jedoch hier in einer fantastischen und komplett illustrierten Aufmachung. Zugegeben, der Preis ist schon sehr stattlich, jedoch ist die Ausgabe jeden Cent wert. Sowohl der Schuber als auch das eigentliche Buch sind sehr hochwertig (in für mich Blau? mit goldfarbenen Prägungen), mit 2 Lesebändchen im Buch (auch blau und gold). Die zahlreichen Illustrationen von Jim Kay sind zudem erneut wunderschön und passend zur Geschichte. Zusätzlich liegt noch eine große Faltkarte mit detaillierter Analyse (mir will gerade keine bessere Beschreibung einfallen) eines Werwolfs bei. Hier noch anzumerken ist, dass auch das Teil 3 wieder sehr gut verpackt geliefert wurde (im eigentlichen Paket nochmals in einer bedruckten Pappverpackung), sodass das Buch wirklich unversehrt und ohne Transportspuren ankam. Wer nicht soviel Geld ausgeben möchte, macht auch mit der "normalen" illustrated Edition nichts verkehrt. Hier ist die Aufmachung nicht ganz so toll, die Illustrationen dürften aber die Gleichen sein und zudem hat der Schutzumschlag noch ein schickes Cover.

The deluxe slip case editions of the Harry Potter book are my favorite, the colors the gold gilding on the slip cases and on this one,the special edition art print of the werewolf from the one page of the monster book of monsters folds out to show extra detail on the werewolf anatomy.
