Rod was sent bare in a clear plastic bag. Scuffs all over. Reel seat is not centered with the line guides. Resin is bubbly and has dimples near the handle. I’m done buying fishing rods and reels off Amazon, this is the second time my gear showed up damaged. I’ll buy this rod again, I just have to select one from a local shop so I know what I buy is flawless. No reason anyone should pay for new gear and it not be in mint condition.

The grip is comfortable and non-slip, even when wet, and the reel seat feels secure. I’ve used it for bass and trout fishing so far, and it handled both with ease. It’s also easy to transport — breaks down nicely without taking up much space.

I purchased this pole for my husband's Father's Day gift and he loved it! He has always used Ugly Stick poles for their durability and performance for river and lake fishing. So when we somehow misplaced the top portion of his former deep sea fishing pole (he had only had it for a few days before we headed home from the beach). I knew exactly what to order. He loved it so much he went and got the reel from the Wrath pole and immediately put it on his new Big Water Ugly Stick!!! Invest in a pole that will last.

this thing is super sturdy for medium to large fish. i fish mainly steelhead and salmon, zero issue with this thing. i recommend it to all my friends who bank fish for steelies and salmon, probably work great on a boat to since its not super long.
