Neca 39716 Action Figure 7 Inch Ultimate Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th: Part 4)

Simply put, this is amazing. Once again NECA have nailed it. The packaging is exceptional. You can open the cover to see the full repertoire of items included, or you can remove them and display the figure against the perfectly chosen backdrop of the woods in a rainstorm. The attention to detail is incredible, and this is encapsulated by the various accessories available. I don't need to list the weapons as you can all see them in the image above, but having so many options really provides a sense of personalising the figure. The corkscrew is particularly good. I've read complaints about the axe not having any blood to add atmosphere, but if I remember correctly this was used to break down a door and is therefore yet another example of subtle attention to detail. I assumed that the gravestone would be light, with a sticker in the front containing the info. Instead it has a satisfying weight to it, and each letter protrudes. I would have forgiven NECA for going for the easier option, but those are the kind of details that reassure people that they are buying quality. This was clearly a labour of love. Jason himself is perfect. Multiple posable options, and the figure always feels sturdy. Two heads and two masks to choose from, which again provide personalised posing. The eyes are almost disturbingly lifelike, the face detail is stunning, and the folds in the clothing give him a vivid sense of realism. Special mention for the paint job; it's a work of art that brings Jason to life. Lesser companies would slap some red paint around, but the clothing has an unsettlingly realistic feel of damp bloodstains...just enough to make the point without going over the top. This really is exceptional, and if you're a Jason fan I'd highly recommend getting it.

Excellent and very detailed figure for the price to which was bought for nephew as a Birthday gift due to him being into cult horror.. A good gift from any cult horror enthusiast.

This NECA Ultimate series Jason is my favourite so far. Nice collection of heads, masks and accessories. Some great attention to detail with the sculpts.
