I wanted a nice fine pen for writing small and drawing fine details in diagrams and found these suggested a couple of years ago. I've now gone through 20 of these pens and have loved 19 of them. (1 was a little scratchy, the rest were as smooth as I could wish for) You might think 20 pens in two years means they don't last long, but that's not true. I write a lot. I know from having typed up my notes that I have written at least 200 thousand words in that time. And that's not including the pens people have borrowed from me and not given back because they fell in love with them too. It's difficult to get the 0.38mm in the UK, so I tried the 0.7mm too. It is wonderful and fluid, but the breadth of the stroke is such that it's for a larger writing style.

Silky smooth writing on decent paper. No bleeding or blobs. Dries almost instantly. My 'go to' pen. Comfortable in the hand too

My handwriting is shocking at time but these pens are my favourite and help my weiting speed. The fine nib is great.

These pens are great for writing small and slow but I found them to be unreliable in how the ink flows from the pen. Sometimes (and this is confirmed with several pens) when I write the ink just stops coming for a second so I have to go back and re-write words. Also, for the most part the ink is intensly black with good print on the paper and then suddenly goes gray because of insufficient flow. I like the UM-151 but I need something a bit more reliable for my kind of work.

Comfortable pen with beautiful flow, no clotting. One of my favourite pens to use. Much cheaper than another brand I have with exactly same result. Highly recommend.

This is the best micro-tip pen I've ever found. The ink is very dark, so very legible, regardless of the fineness of the ballpoint. It seems to be fast-drying and difficult to smudge, and it writes very smoothly. My only quibble is that there isn't much ink in the pen! If this is your go-to-pen, you'll find you run through the box fairly quickly. I've had to give a number of mine away because once people see the way they work, they want one!
