Galt Toys, Snakes & Ladders and Ludo, Classic Board Game, Ages 3 Years Plus, 2-4 Players

I have been on the lookout for games to keep our 6 year old grandson occupied, and knowing he prefers to have someone to play with - I thought it would be a great chance for me to have a trip down memory lane too! It is so refreshing to have a game which - though might be thought by some old-fashioned - is good clean sociable fun, as well as a learning tool too. Counting made pleasurable for children [who would find it a boring chore normally] as they go up the snakes and down the ladders,- and in turn pleasureable to us oldies as it takes us back to times when fun didn't cost a fortune. Anyway - I ordered 3 games at the same time and all arrived so quickly I am amazed! This game board is very sturdy and will stand up well to all the pummelling it will get from our family and I look forward to using it for a long long time. Not only that it has another great 'oldie' Ludo on the reverse side of the board, twice the fun and GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY!!!!

It’s a simple but fun game my only issue is the bits are a bit small and a little awkward to pick up

Quick review: Good: - Very cheap, free delivery, good quality board, dice/counters included, Snakes and Ladders board is absolutely GREAT, absolutely fantastic details and colouring in the pictures - it makes the board very funny and interesting esp on S&L board (e.g. one square with a ladder going up is monkey with bananas and you aren't sure what the monkey will do but then you go up the ladder and the space there shows the monkey sharing a banana with you! :D) Could be improved: - LUDO layout could be improved with better smoother shaped squares (I had a LUDO board before which also had 'safe' zones for all counters which were great addition), counters could be better (LUDO I had before had 3D cone-shaped counters), shaker not really needed, dice could be bigger. But this is a bit picky because I am a very picky person. I do enjoy LUDO a lot. Buy this - it's the best LUDO/S&L board out there for the price. Absolute bargain. I love it, and I'm 18 years old and a Law student at Uni! :P

Lovely high quality finish

A family favourite, snakes and ladders always entertains young and old alike. A simple double-sided game for all the family to enjoy! Large but thin playing board- easy to recommend!

The board is nice, and the box it comes in is nice and secure, but the counters are the absolute cheapest of the cheap. I'm sorry I didn't check the reviews, but I just thought the board was nice and bought it. The counters are tiny, flimsy, flat plastic disks that any kid will either lose track of, or younger kids will just put in their mouth. I've already ordered a set of multi coloured pawn player pieces and the counters this set comes with are going straight in the bin. Maybe you could say you get what you pay for, but the counters included I think would be very difficult for younger kids to use, and would actually detract from playing the games.

My three grandchildren absolutely loved this game twin boys of 4 loved it and played for 4 hrs non stop no TV or Video games now they always want to play I’m so impressed with them . They loved the snake and ladder best just getting to grips with Ludo I’m so delighted that the old games still come around
