The easiest path to 'natural' blonde
I have been blonde for about 4 years now thanks to lightening sprays. It looks natural and is incredibly easy to maintain. My real colour is a medium brunette (see eyebrows in photo). I switched from Sun-in when the price went up. They are very similar and this review could really be for either. Intea has a nicer scent and I prefer the finer spray mist action. It seems slower-acting than Sun-in so I use more (but still only 2 bottles per year). How To Use: Spray onto the top layers of your damp hair after showering. Leave it on. Get out into the fresh air - the more sun on your head, the greater the effect. Your hair will lighten gradually over time. Eventually you will only need to spray the roots. I find 2-3 times per week is perfect. The sun has a big effect on this spray, much more than a hot hair dryer. If I let the roots lapse for a few months I'll catch back up much faster in the Summer. For the last year I've only air dried my hair and it made no difference. Originally I used to spray all my hair, turning my head upside down to cover the underneath layers, then blow dry. But the underneath hair barely lightened at all, despite being closest to the heat of my head all day. Save your spray, let the sun do the work on the bits people will see. The multilayered colour looks like infinite shades of highlights, it's beautiful. Hair Damage: None noticeable. The hairdresser says my hair is soft and strong. I'm pretty sure high concentrations of bleach at a salon are more damaging, as well as being horrible for the environment. That said the only things I do to my hair are shampoo and lightening spray so if you use a lot of straighteners and products you may be affected differently. Conditioner is overrated! If you need it, it might be worth finding a leave-in one you can apply after spraying, as I believe the spray works by acting on the cell structure of the hair.

I love Intea. It's a golden oldie classic ❤️
A: This is a natural, conditioning and bleaching spray for head hair, and I remember it from when I was a kid in the 1980s. It's a classic. :) It's thin and watery, rather than jel-like, so if you swim right after using, it'll obviously wash out. Use it like hairspray, by covering your eyes before spritzing on hair around the face and roots for a natural look. It's activated by sunlight and heat, so if you use a hairdryer or go out on a hot day, the lightening will emerge faster. I spray in and leave the warmth of my head to dry it naturally. Also, it doesn't smell amazing, but it's okay, and doesn't bleach my clothes or carpet etc, when I spray loads on. Camomile and nitrogen peroxide are both natural bleaches that have been used forever to blond hair. However, It's still chemicals, and can sting a little if loads gets on your scalp, but it absolutely works, and provides gentle natural hair lightening. I think Intea offer a one for body hair, if you wanted it for that. I naturally have golden blonde hair though, now with grey roots, and I use Intea to brighten my hair. If you're darker, any hair you spray will go redder first, and will take a lot of spraying to go blond, if it ever does. I'm not paid to advertise this: this does work, and it's economical, but do use common sense, as with all chemicals, and don't expect to end up looking like Claudia Schiffer (unless you are her, of course.)😆

Controlled lightening at it's finest.
I have always been sceptical of lightening products that are not purely bleach but this spray has definitely lightened my hair very gradually and so far I am impressed with the results. I have applied this 5 times now and my dark medium brown hair has lifted to light brown which has blonder tones through it. What I like most is that the blonde is not at all brassy and more of a caramel blonde which looks so natural. It does not lift colour out of your towels or clothes, plus it does not dry your hair out like other lightening products! Would work great if you only wanted a dip dye (ombre) look or if you wanted an all over blonde shade. I am going to continue using this product to achieve my desired colour, and I cannot recommend this enough!

Little colour change no damage to hair burns to hands and shoulders and face
Hmmm okay firstly I have henna hair .. and this.product hasn't melted my hair so thumbs up .... I use henna with no metallic salts only pure henna so plz check with what henna you used before using this product but on my pure henna hair it's fine .... Its conditioning no damage it helps lighten my roots small effect my roots are virgin hairs my idea was.to use this spray to lighten my hair a shade or so my henna would be a brighter lighter colour ( medium ginger hair wanting a strawberry blonde light ginger ) my greys went yellow ... The down side is the pain burnt my scalp hands and where ever it touched IT IS NOT NATURAL the I haven't had chemical burns on my hands like this after using regular hair dye ... All in all I will purchase another bottle before I make total judgement however if I see no change or little changed I will not 're buy and stick to Sun in because I don't want to be using a hair dryer on my hair has I never use heat on my hairs ... The products a little bit scrappy but I live in hope .... I only wanna lighten my roots a couple of times per year because of the heat Sun is ideal two times would of lighted but this a bottle down and still nothing much ..... It's heat usage vs peroxide .... Can't tell which is worst x

My hair is definitely lighter!
Got this to try to lighten my dark blonde/light brown hair back to the lighter blonde it was when I was younger. It took a few (three so far, and I plan to do one more) applications, as described in the product leaflet, but I have definitely noticed that my hair is much lighter. I'm now most definitely blonde rather than borderline! Furthermore, this product did not make my hair feel dry or brittle after use, and I had no skin reactions to it. The only thing I noticed was a tiny sting when some got into an open cut on my forehead, but that was expected and easily remedied by cleaning the area with a damp cloth. The product is easy to apply, and definitely works best if you can sit in bright sunlight for an hour or so afterwards. Personally, I would recommend getting someone to help apply it, especially if you have longer hair. I used a towel around my shoulders to protect my skin and clothes, and it was not stained or discoloured at all, which was quite nice! Service from the seller was also excellent and the product arrived promptly. Overall, I am very happy with this product, and I will most definitely reorder some more when my bottle runs out.

Such an awful product, do NOT use if you have naturally light brown/darker coloured hair!
I rarely write negative reviews on Amazon because I am often satisfied with the products I purchase, but I can honestly say that buying this was one of the worst decisions I have made- my hair had been highlighted blonde and I was using it on my roots to ensure they stayed blonde, but gradually my roots became ginger. This product is probably great if you are a natural blonde, but originally I have light brown hair and using this product has made me miss my awful brown roots. If you have heard of how terrible Sun In is for your hair, then this is on the same level- it strips back the hair follicle to dye it, and by using it weekly your hair WILL become damaged. The appeal of using Chamomile and 'natural' ingredients is what convinced me to buy this product, but few of the ingredients (chemicals) are 'natural' and the majority are those that are in Sun In, are in this. Now not only have I got awful ginger roots, I cannot dye it due to the damage the product has caused- I have money and the ability to get my hair dyed back, but due to the damage caused by the product, two hairdressers have apologetically told me that I must either grow it out or get it back into a good condition (but even then it is indefinite to be fixed). This is not me trolling or trying to ruin the company behind the product, but I cannot put into words my regret for using this product. If your hair is naturally blonde this will work- if you are like me and naturally have light brown hair or darker, don't be lazy as I was and find something else as you WILL regret it!
