Q: What set should an age 10 go for? Is micro ok? I have a 7 and 10 year old. Thanks

It is best you go for the Junior set - you will get 1 x size 3 bat (suitable for ages 8-9) and the size 5 bat (suitable for ages 10-11).

Q: is the bat made out of wood?

Ive tried contacting my niece whose 7 year old son i bought this for but they are on holiday. However i dont think the bat was made of wood but it was solid. Her son loved the set they wanted it so it could be used in their garden. He asked for cricket gear (clothes) after this and has gone on to join a junior cricket club in Durham. Well worth it.

The micro would not be suitable - you would be best to order the Junior set as this comes with a size 3 bat and a size 5 bat.
