Works like a charm!
I purchased this unit in January of this year (2023) and set it up in a few minutes. I love the convenience of wireless Android Auto that this unit provides, which enables Google Maps, Spotify, WhatsApp, Messenger and several other apps on my car screen. It worked flawlessly for about 6 months and then stopped working. I contacted Julie at Ottocast and after sending me troubleshooting instructions that did not fix the problem, she kindly replaced my A2 Air with a new unit. I received the second unit and had the same problem (my car could not "find" my phone to continue install. I again contacted Julie and she sent me the upgraded version, the A2 Air Pro. After fiddling around for a while (and using the Ottopilot App which is a great help) I discovered that the problem was not the unit, but the Android Auto App on my phone. As per the Ottopilot instructions, I enabled the developer mode in my phone's Android Auto App and checked that Wireless Android Auto was enabled. It was, but I checked the box to disable it and enabled it again and voila, the A2 Air Pro connected immediately. There have been a lot of returns of this item, but I guarantee you it has been user error or failure to follow the instructions closely that caused people to return this product. When installed correctly, it connects to my phone seconds after my car screen comes on. I highly recommend this product and the excellent customer service behind it!

Great adapter for a great price.
This adapter connects fast, works very well and is small enough to fit in the center storage bin. Works well with my Samsung 22.

Great addition for the car
Works very well. I got it save wear and tear on my phone USB-C port. Android Auto comes up marginally slower than the direct-wire connection, but quite tolerable (I have an older head unit). The great thing is no additional applications are required - just plug-in, pair the phone, and it works. If you update the firmware, read and follow the on-line instructions precisely. There are several back and forth steps with phone settings and web-site which must be followed. But this is better than having to load a special-purpose app on my phone to handle the process. And I only updated the firmware because ... OCD ... latest firmware ;) Downside - phone doesn't charge. I might add a wireless charger to the car as well. One hiccup - if you have other bluetooth devices connected to your phone (i.e bluetooth earbuds) the Ottocast may not autoconnect Android Auto. If I turn off my headset, the Ottocast connects and starts Android Auto after a short delay.

The device stopped working
The setup process went smoothly and the unit was up and running within minutes. I had a slight issue with finding Waze in the menu for navigation use but that problem resolved itself. I am very pleased with the performance of this product. Reavaluation... Within the last 2 weeks the unit has stopped connecting to Android Auto in the car. I can connect the phone directly to Android Auto w/o a problem. So it's not the car or the cable, it's the unit itself. I'm just fet up with these devices and will stay with the cable connection.

It works!
Ok, so easy set up. Connects rather quickly and consistently. Build quality not bad at all. Looks, kinda cool. Was a much cheaper option than buying a new infotainment head at this point (800-1000+) So far I'm pleased with this item.

If I could give ten stars I would.
I bought two, one for my father and one for me. We both have Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra's that are around a year and a half old so the charging slot is worn a little over time. They charge fine but disconnect intermittently with bumps and turns on the roads when connected with a charging cable. These were so easy to connect. And have worked like a charm right away. It takes a half a minute to connect after starting the vehicle but that is no inconvenience. It has only been a couple of weeks so there is that caveat, but so far I am thrilled with the item. We both have Genesis G80s and have no clue as to why they went with wired android auto connections instead of bluetooth. Such an unwise decision. It is so much more convenient to simply get into the car and not even have to think about a connection. Don't think twice. One of the better buys that I have made in quite a while. I cannot recommend this product enough.

Didn't last long
This item installed very easily and worked for a few months but now it fails. Disconnected and took me a while to get it reconnected. Now it stutters and stammers and buffers and is useless. Had to go back to plugging in the wire again.

Ottocast Vs Motorola Comparison Review
Used both of these products on my 2022 sonata hybrid limited for android auto. Here are my observations Design: Both have a nice and sleek look to them. Moto surely has a smaller and easy to hide unit. The wire to moto is fixed and is extremely short. Ease of connection: Pretty easy plug and play install for both. No apps or any other extra stuff required Speed of connection: Moto takes about 5 seconds to get you connected whereas the ottocast around 4 seconds. Reliability of connection: Moto connects flawlessly everytime. Ottocase fails to connect frequesntly and needs unplug and replug to get going.
