For the money this is excellent. The main base and protective grill is a strong plastic, the bulb holder is ceramic and the clear cover is thick glass. There are rubber seals included for the cable inputs (trim to fit) and a gasket that fits between the glass and the base. A normal 60w bulb fits comfortably. The instructions are a little basic, being an exploded diagram and a few lines of text, but as it comes assembled it is simple to work out.

Nice little bulkhead light. Components seem strong and has good build quality. Simple to install. Instructions are provided and simple to follow. Only criticism are the cheap wall screws provided, the 'soft' heads easily round off when using a screwdriver. I replaced with better screws. But apart from that well worth the cost. Highly recommended.

very tidy item, very light in weight, easy to put up and wire, you will need a sharp object to creat a hole for the wiring, because the holes on the plastic base are only marked out, it is also a good idea to have a waterproof base solvent to put around the base of the glass, for you own peace of mind,it took me a novice 20 mins max to wire and fit it to the wall, will buy this item again in the future

Good little light, ideal for what I need. Have popped it up where a outside light was but had to be removed when I built my porch. Light is easy to install although you will need to drill your own entry hole for the wiring. Does not come with a bulb, which it does state. but takes a standard mini glove. Good value for money

Liked the look of the unit. Was easy to fit.However the glass broke very easily and the unit itself was quite weak. The bulb housing on one did crack and the glass broke on 2 of the 4 I bought. One broke as I took it out of the box! The cold weather might have had something to do with it but still.I kept them as was desperate for lighting at the time.Cheap but shows it.

Simple no-nonsense bulkhead - a good cheap solution for outdoor lighting. The screw that mounts the actual lamp holder within the unit was a bit suspect in one of them, but it was a relatively simple thing to fix, and I've known much more expensive items have similar faults, so as far as I can see (at least to date) a good buy for the job.

Although these light units are mainly plastic, they do have glass lenses, ceramic lamp holders and a decent silicon rubber seal against the glass lens. These are much better quality than I expected from their low price.

It only had one job. To work - needed in a "low value" area, looks not important, just straightforward put it up turn it on now and again.Came to pieces in the handyman hands as I watched. Also he demonstrated where the screws for the wires wouldn't do up tightly enough on one side and wouldn't do u at all on the other.Not even bothering to send the pieces back. Utter waste of time. It's as bad in black as the one pictured it is replacing - only difference is that one went up and did 10 years.Handyman now sent out at my expense to buy a decent one locally while he is here.Amazon, this is rubbish and makes you look bad.
