Mean Machine!
This is some machine! The first one ordered didn't work when it arrived but this company made it less painful with their proffesional way of dealing with the return which was complicated by the fact it was Easter Weekend and the now urgent need for me to have a replacement. Although I was reassured that the return and replacement would happen within the time I needed, I couldn't risk not having the PA/mic for an event which was looming. Took the risk and put another order on my credit card. This one arrived on the final estimated delivery date which was the day before I needed it and I received the refund for the returned one on the same day. Phew! I was reasured by the company at each contact with them. Now for the machine - it does what it says in the information. I teach dance in a large hall - now everyone hears me loud and clear. Even if I use a low voice it comes over clear and crisp. Just tweak the setting on the echo and leave it there. It is so easy to set up - even I can do in in a couple of minutes. This is a solid and hefty bit of kit but no problem to move as it is on wheels. I'm so glad that I wasn't put off by the first one not working. Daft thing to say but I'm less tired after a teaching session now I don't have to fight to be heard! Our big event went well and the world renowned Scottish dance tutor who led the workshop was the first to use the mic. Nearly six years down the line - this machine is the greatest! I have added a frequency compatible headset to my kit and this works well. I've learned to tweak the volume etc to get best results - it just takes time. Due to my own preference, I have not used the SD or USB facility much but it is easy to use with clear results.

Incredible system
For this price , it's hard to argue against not giving it 10/10. It's a beast of a speaker , portable , durable , got plenty of connections (USB / SD / aux & jack ) plenty of power , just one thing to note, don't blast it on full power , it just drains the battery , and to he fair , you wouldnt really go over half way volume either. The sound quality is pretty decent and yes while it may not be premium sound like other speakers , it's still extremely impressive for what it is. One of the best speakers you'll ever buy. Light always prevails , truth never lies and love conquers all. God wins Everytime God bless 🙏

Nearly perfect busking solution!
I only say "nearly" because if I said it's perfect it would imply it could absolutely not be improved. And it can... but it's pretty nearly there! Considering the low price... it's a bargain! I have used it for about 3-4 weeks now. I'm very happy with it. This thing has a lot of functions. I don't need most of them, so perhaps it may not perform as well as you want it to, if your requirements are not the same as mine. I wanted an amplifier for my electric bass, so that I could use it on the street, busking with my band. I wanted something reasonably powerful (bass needs power to be heard), and portable... and the battery should last a reasonable amount of time. They claim 8h on a battery charge... I cannot say, but it definitely does >3h without any issues whatsoever. The band is comprised of 3 guitarists playing electric guitar through two Roland MiniCubes and a Vox Mini. Then we have a trumpet and a saxophone player (unamplified), and a drummer, who brings assorted drummy bits. He likes a cajon, but the cajon is not loud enough by itself. In this situation, on the street, the QR10PA has plenty of power. I rarely turn the volume up past 11 o'clock (if you imagine the dial of a clock on the volume knob). We used it last night indoors, same set up, but in a small bar. My volume knob was a little lower there. So I can be a lot louder if I wanted to. It has a basic 2-band EQ: bass and treble. It's ok. I started using it with my MusicMan Stingray, which as an onboard 3-band EQ module with semi-parametric mids (John East MMSR preamp), so the QR10PA's EQ was irrelevant. After the first couple of evenings I took to using a Squier Precision (Mike Dirnt model), because it's light, comfortable, inexpensive, and sounds good... and I feel I can be a bit more carefree with it on the street. This bass only has a basic passive tone control, so I use the QR10PA's EQ more. However, I now use a separate EQ pedal so that I can better adjust the sound. I use a Zoom MS-60B running on batteries, as it gives me both a tuner and EQ at once (and many other things if I wanted to). Generally the parametric EQ (two band) is perfect to adjust the sound to the acoustics of where we are playing and to fit between the guitars and percussions, but a graphic EQ would be fine too. There is a clear hiss noise coming from this amp when you use it at home at low volumes. It is not noticeable whatsoever on the street or in the bar. Some of the extra functions can be interesting and I have tried some. You can plug another instrument or a mic in a second input. However, there is only one volume. This seriously reduces its usefulness. We tried to put a microphone on our drummer's cajon and run it through the QR10PA, but we needed to carefully adjust the distance of teh mic to the cajon... It would work best if one of the two (my bass or the mic) were ran through an FX pedal, such as an EQ pedal, as that provides a separate volume control for it. At the time I was not using an EQ pedal yet... You can play music stored in a USB stick. I tried it. It works very well. The controls are very basic and not the best to navigate through the songlist, but it's functional. This has a separate volume control. I have never tried the included remote control. I have not tried the radio either, or the SD card slot. The QR10PA comes with a wireless mic. It works. But the sound is not great (what do you expect? :) I don't use it and I am not likely to use it, but I am considering adapting it to use it with a better microphone... we will see. Still, not necesary for me. It has tiny wheels and an extendable handle. I don't use that. It's light and I just carry it with my hand. I have just now found a cheap travel bag with a rigid bottom and better wheels and extendable handle. I put a layer of foam inside and ise it to carry the QR10PA and keep my jacket or whatever. I think it's a great solution for me: I can play my electric bass on the street and do so for hours. It does not sound as good as my usual rig does, but it's decent for street performances. I was not quite sure it would be powerful enough, but it is more than adequate. I don't imagine ever pushing it hard. The controls are all on the back, which is a bit uncomfortable, compared to other units that have the controls on the top. However, this means the controls are more protected from the elements and I get to place a pedal on the top instead. It works for me. It's not rain-proof, of course, but because of the design, it is unlikely to get damage unless you choose to continue using it under the pouring rain. The day it breaks... I'll get another.

Really decent battery PA
It’s a pretty good, battery PA. I ran a whole day (about 5 hours) playing music at about half volume and it lasted the whole time, and had battery left over. I haven’t really had a use for the remote, however I tested it and it did work when it was pointed directly at the back panel of the speaker. I can see how it would be useful for changing tracks off a USB drive, as you can just type in the track number and it skips to that song. I can’t speak about how long the battery lasts as I haven’t had it that long, however I have heard that these units like to ‘over-charge’ and therefore the battery lasts a couple months, then needs to be replaced - this isn’t too big a deal for me as I don’t use it very often, and battery’s are only about £20. Sound quality is decent, it’s perfectly fine for playing music and making announcements at informal events, The horn/treble can be quite sharp at times if you are near the speaker when it’s playing at louder volumes but I think that the treble on these is boosted slightly to help push sound out to a wider audience. (I think I’m probably just being really picky here). One speaker can cover a fairly large area pretty well with sound. The only real problem that I have had, is with the built in wireless mics. They seem to be a bit iffy, sometimes they work, when they want to. However I wouldn’t rely on them as my main source of microphones. They work OK indoors, but the range isn’t great. I did use them outside and had to stand right next to the speaker the whole time, otherwise it disconnected completely. They also sound slightly muffled. I did buy a battery-powered plug in wireless mic and have had no problems with it. I tried to connect a regular, wired mic to the mic socket on the back of the speaker, but it was far quieter than the plug in wireless one. Volume wise, it’s pretty great! It’s got a decent ‘punch’ to the mid/bass for a 12” driver and the horn is clear. Music sounds perfectly fine, and mics do too for more informal events, parties etc. Echo effect for the mics is nice for a ‘Karaoke’ feel as well as the voice over feature. (This has been really handy, and actually really good) just cuts down the volume of any music that’s playing, even through the AUX, so that the mic takes priority and you can hear what is being said. Another tip- i would recommend putting it up onto a speaker stand to get the best coverage over the area, I would actually recommend the QTX speaker stand as the top of it is flat. Some speaker stands have a slightly rounded top: the cup on the bottom of the speaker to hold it onto the stand is pretty shallow, so it helps to have a flat-top stand so that it sits more securely. There is a small locking nut in the back of the speaker to allow you to tighten it onto a stand so that it is more secure too! I can’t really speak on the Bluetooth connectivity as I bought the one without. So, in summary; -Pretty loud -decent clarity -acceptable bass -good battery run time However -wireless mics aren’t great -treble can be a little strong at times It works, it does what it is meant to do! And it does it pretty well for the price. Also! It is not waterproof, so make sure to carry something with you to cover it incase it rains!

QTX QR12PA Portable Active PA Speaker System
Fantastic product received it today very well packed . Absolutely everything I require for gigging and if I want to do some busking, thanks to the onboard battery supply as well. Very well made and designed fantastic outputs from speakers plenty loud enough for pub and small club work. I am spoilt for choice never had it so good. I also own a 100 Watt Torque Combo Amp. This new on is as good as if not better . They sent me the latest model with even more on board Than I expected, they have added 2 more wheels for stability, there is now a separate 3.5 mm input for IPod/ IPad/MP3 Player etc..There is also a voice control switch. I play Acoustic Guitar I can plug in,Tin Whistle, Harmonica, And IPad with multiple music apps on board, Plus garageband with all my backing tracks that I can easily select with my ipod attached firmly to my mike stand . I even have a MP3 Player and USB, And SD card inputs so I could put backing music etc on USB stick or memory card. Absolutely brilliant for solo musician/ singers like myself thanks for such a comprehensive well thought out and compact but Powerful unit everything I ever need.

Good sound. Wheels, pull handle and microphones less good, but also less essential
I use this for dance classes. I find the sound is good and the Bluetooth connection reliable. I've had it for more than a year and it still performs well. I don't use the microphones that come with it - I find they have poor range and I struggle with feedback with them. The wheels have disintegrated - it is a weird design to put such tiny wheels so close together - very wobbly to pull along and they haven't coped with being used so regularly. This is rather unfortunate because the speaker is heavy. It does have a grab handle on one side which is use. The pull handle has stuck so is not easy to use any more. But for sound it is great.

Cracking bit of kit
This review is a little difficult as this PA unit is not exactly a PA unit its a bit of everything and more.. its a portable speaker and its a portable amp its also a portable PA system and is an MP3 player too.. oh! and does a bit karaoke for good measure as well .. it really is a jack of all trades and doesn't sit in any one camp. Its a brilliant bit of kit.. its loud and packs a lot of bass and the wireless microphones work a treat.. if you are looking for a powerful PA system that's very portable and works out of the box then this will fit the bill it really is an astonishing piece of kit that does everything it says on the tin and does it with aplomb.. thoroughly recommend it.. cant say my neighbours do though.. well worthy of the 5* rating.

Poor quality sound
All arrived ok. Unit was well packed, but there was no instruction manual ? Just the safety notice. Controls are very straight forward so powered up and tried with wireless microphones. Sound was very weak and tinny. From top part of unit only. Tried also with two different Bluetooth phones and in built tuner and even at max volume, max bass and max echo, sound was rubbish - it felt like there was no bass even when adjusting, suggesting problem with internal amp ? Remote worked ok Amazon support very helpful and sorted return and refund but they couldn’t initiate a direct replacement, nor contact supplier as weekend, which was disappointing as I need PA for function next week.
