Well made colander. Great size and very easy to use and clean. Maybe a little expensive but I think it will last well so it is worth it.

This lightweight stainless steel colander is well made and looks like the traditional type found in most kitchens. It is bowl shaped with 2 handles, with plenty of holes to allow it to drain properly. It an be used to strain foods such as boiled vegetables or pasta, safely allowing the boiling water to drain away. The colander was excellent value for money and it is is reasonably good quality for the price paid. I have used it successfully for some time, and expect that it will last, if treated properly.

Replaced a plastic colander that had warped slightly over time and started to sit unevenly, which sounds minor until you're draining a pan of pasta and it tips. Wanted something that would last properly this time and stainless steel seemed the obvious step up for something used this regularly. The build quality is immediately noticeable. It feels solid in hand, no thin gauge wobble that some stainless colanders have, and the rim is rolled cleanly without any sharp edges. It sits stably in the sink which was the main thing I needed it to do and it does that without any issues. The hole pattern drains quickly and efficiently without losing smaller pasta shapes, which is a balance some colanders get wrong in one direction or the other. Used it for pasta, vegetables, rinsing salad and draining tinned goods and it handles all of it without any complaints. The handles are secure and stay cool enough to handle straight from a pan of boiling water, which is what you need. They're fixed rather than foldable which means storage takes up a bit more space, but the stability that comes with fixed handles feels like the right trade off for something used this frequently. Cleaning is straightforward, it goes in the dishwasher without any issues and comes out without water marks or residue clinging in the holes. The reason it stops short of five stars is simply that the base feet are on the shorter side, meaning it sits quite low in the sink and drainage back onto the food is a minor issue if you leave it sitting for any length of time. A small design point but worth mentioning. Otherwise a solid, dependable kitchen staple.

Well what can you say about a colander? This colander was, believe it or not, an asked for birthday present. Can't comment on the durability yet but it certainly fitted the bill. Good enough, not just for straining things but also presentable enough to put straight on the table full of fresh lettuce leaves. Delivery was very quick. Well parcelled. Inexpensive. Saved me a lot of time shopping. Job well done.
