Absolutely perfect!
I had always lusted after Le Creuset's casseroles and when Amazon had their Prime sale, I bough this one to add to my collection. I used it for the fist time today to make Hungarian Stuffed Peppers and I couldn't be more pleased. It cooked on 'Simmer', no sticking to the bottom of the pot despite high sugar content in the tomato sauce, so it turned out as I had hoped. Pot is easy to clean, great to look at and perfect for both cooking and serving at the table. Expensive, but worth every pence!

lovely lovely casserole
I really love this 30 inch shallow casserole from Le Creuset - I did buy it for a very good price on one of Amazons special deals but i would be happy even if it had cost me the full price. I have a ceramic hob and was a bit concerned that it might be too large - because none of the rings are big enough for this - however not a problem. And as everyone who has used these cast irons pans knows they are great for cooking it just seems so easy using them .... and the cleaning is incredibly easy (i don't have a dishwasher) I'm agreeably surprised by the weight - yes it's a large cast iron pan .... but the changes made with these newer versions does seem to have reduced the weight (in my opinion)

It cooks as good as it looks!
We decided to purchase the Signature version of Le Creuset because of the additional features and also we preferred the appearance. The stainless steel handle of the top of the lid looks bright and I think it gives it a more modern appearance. This handle doesn't get too hot when cooking on the hob and that's helpful. The side handles are slightly bigger than the original version, and this makes it easier to hold when wearing oven gloves. We cooked a shepherd's pie from start (on the hob) to finish (in the oven) and it was a dream to cook with. This is our first ever Le Creuset pan and it is the start of building a collection.

It's exactly what it says it is
Mainly writing a review to help people track prices. I purchased this 30cm shallow casserole in October 2024 for £192.37 and it's currently £228.00. Otherwise this is great and I love it. It's exactly as described.

Le Crueset quality
Bought this as a wedding gift so not used it but covet one for myself. It looked lovely. I’m still using Le Crueset products I was given over 30 years ago. That says all you need to know - but don’t put them in your dishwasher.

Seems like a returned item with minor defects
My item arrived without an Amazon box, just the normal Le Creuset box with a delivery label stick on it. It was a miracle the item was not damaged inside. The casserole itself had two minor defects, a pinhole in the enamel and a tiny side chip. I would have not complain on another cheap brand but this is a Le Creuset and I expect more of a brand that brags about their quality control and the "made in France" thing. All and all what it seems to me is that this was an item returned or those ones that cannot be sold at full price due to minor defects and end up in an outlet at a discount. This also explains why this model on this color costs 168£ and the same in other colors £235. The next time I buy Le Creuset I will do it in a shop were I can fully inspect the item, or I'll get a Staub.
