Adam Southwold Fireplace in Oak & Black, 43 Inch

I've just moved into my forever little home and wanted a budget fireplace to make my living room feel a little more homely while I prioritise renovations in other areas of my house. I am actually blown away by how good this looks! What was meant to be a little make do project has made me seriously reconsider my plan of spending £5000 (my quote) on a media wall when this whole project (including my own fire) cost me just £225! It has transformed the look and feel of my living room. Extremely easy to put together and for the price very well made. If you are questioning this purchase DON'T!

Pros. Bought for aesthetic appearance to cover old existing fire place, no intention to fit fire of any sort. See before and after photos. Price good for what it is, simple to assemble and fits like a glove. And good size - Cons. Fixing brackets to be used on outside , not a good look for something that looks far more expensive than it is. Black vertical sheets not fully painted, so have to result in painting myself . See photo 3 All in all would recommend to friend or family for something simple and pleasing to the eye

Amazing & completes the room :) I had a previous flue free gas fire ripped out so needed a fireplace that could fit flush against a wall & look good. Ok paper it fitted the bill & very impressed. Instructions clear, easy to put together & looks amazing. Compared to what you can get on the high street it’s good value. I have a skirting board so had to adjust the base to make the fireplace fit to the wall. Brilliant

This fireplace is excellent! Can't say a bad thing about it, looks really good in my lounge, easy to assemble, well worth the money

Purchased to replace old painted fireplace. Fitted with my original electric fire and so easy to do. Waxed all wooden components before assembly so it matches the room. Beautiful finished fireplace.

This is very good. easy to assemble, I varnished with clear varnish to protect and it looks great. Loses a star - despite very carefully following the instructions to attach the wall brackets, the planks spilt both sides - luckily inside so not noticeable from the outside. However, if you were relying on these to stop it falling over, e.g. with young children, then it would not hold.

LOOKS GREAT - HUBBY STAINED IT SLIGHTLY DARKER AS ALL OUR FURNITURE IS DARK
