Fixes Sinks....
Now, anyone who works overseas, on ships or offshore will know this reality. The second you leave the home to travel to work is when something goes wrong at home, leaving your better 3/4 to deal with it. This can be a painful experience if its something you should have done.... Anyway, this time it was my kitchen sink. It rotted through. Seriously. My wife discovered that there was a small hole in it which, inevitably allowed leakage to the strange and forbidden zone under it where She Who Must Be Obeyed keeps enough chemicals to start a weapons factory. No even that old either. The sink that is, not the wife. She's the same vintage as me.... Now, by a process of elimination it turns out that SWMBO on leaving the house to visit me overseas drenches the sink with industrial grade bleach and then sits the plastic washing bowl back down thus trapping chemicals against the stainless for weeks at a time. So the mystery is solved but not the solution...Step forward this plastic steel. Now, clearly I'm not going to leave the sink with a damned great hole in it even if sealed but working overseas means a few weeks more until I get home. And of course that means my wife needed a fix which this provides until I replace the unit. So I searched in Amazon for something suitable - and as I knew about JB Weld, or rather knew the name, I bought this and had it delivered for The Boss to effect a short term fix. Part of the reason I picked this is because it's easy to deal with and get the mix right as the two pack are in dual syringes with joined plunger. Easy peasy to squeeze out what you need in the correct amounts and then mix to the correct consistency. Because of this design it avoids or reduces the mess and you can, if you are careful prevent getting gunk on your fingers. Also, you can easily seal up the ends and keep this epoxy steel in good condition for future use. Put it in a cool place or even better a fridge if you want to ensure a long life. That's what we do on ships and in the offshore construction world. Once mixed to a thick paste this can easily be spread into place where it grips like poo on a blanket. Really. That being said I did make sure my wife cleaned the area to be fixed with solvent to remove any greases and oils first. So, after using this to seal up the hole and leaving for a few hours to cure - which is always better to do if you have the time despite this being a fast cure product - water was duly introduced and hey presto! No leaks. I just know that the day I get home the first item on my 'Honey Do' list is to replace the sink...

Excellent for Repairs, Even for Skeptics Like Me
I initially approached JB Weld KwikWeld with scepticism, unsure if it would live up to its reputation. However, after reading glowing Amazon reviews and watching impressive YouTube demonstrations, I decided to give it a go—and I am so glad I did. My first project involved repairing the metal base of a wooden stool that had been broken for ages. I had put off fixing it, thinking I’d need to learn welding or hire someone. JB Weld KwikWeld turned out to be the perfect solution. Admittedly, my first attempt failed due to user error—I applied a generous amount but left it to cure outside on a cold, damp London winter’s day. The next morning, it was still soft and pliable, unable to hold the stool’s weight. I learned my lesson. For my second attempt, I applied another generous layer and let it cure indoors near a radiator, where it was warm and dry. The difference was night and day. By the next morning, the epoxy had set into a shiny, solid material that resembled something between metal and plastic. I gave it an additional 72 hours to ensure maximum strength. When I reassembled the stool, I was amazed. The bond was rock solid—no wobbling, no signs of weakness. I even filed it down to create a perfectly flush connection before tightening the screws. Two weeks on, the stool remains as sturdy as ever. Pros: Straightforward and user-friendly. Comes in a syringe for perfect ratios and easy application. Extremely strong and durable bond that works on various surfaces. Cons: The smell during application is slightly unpleasant. I recommend wearing a mask and keeping windows open. All in all, JB Weld KwikWeld is a remarkable product. It’s reliable, easy to use, and performs far better than other epoxies I’ve tried. A definite 5-star product I’d recommend to anyone.

Good stuff
This great at sticking mild steel together. It can be tapped but I found that the threads in the tap we very weak and give way easily. Other than the tapping issue it’s good stuff.

Good glue-issues with ratio
So the glue is very good. However, the viscosity of the glue and the hardener seem to not be the same and this results in often getting more of one than the other, which results in a decreased strength of the glue, or the glue not setting. Be careful. Overall quite happy. UPDATE: After a couple of years using this (not the same tube, but a repeat purchase) I am knocking another star. Mostly for two reasons: 1. It cures to a soft plastic. While other epoxy glues cure to a hard surface, this is quite soft. It works as a glue when there is a thin film between two surfaces, but not when there is a gap betwen an area. This introduced a fault and I had 2-3 joins fail because of this 2. It is VERY susceptible to humidity. Forget about using it for anything in a bathroom for example. Overall, it works... under specific conditions. Thank you but I'll find something else, and won't buy this again.

Works well for repairing BLDC motors
I ordered some of this stuff for a quick n' dirty repair job I needed to do on a brushless geared hub motor for my bike wherein the magnet ring had separated from the rotor. So far, post reassembly and letting it cure overnight it looks to be holding up well. I took the bike out and gave it a good thrashing to make sure it wouldn't fail again and it held up spectacularly. Probably not as good as magnet bonding adhesive but certainly strong enough for this application! the only annoyance is that it's a 2 component adhesive and has to be mixed manually... Although the mixing tray and stick make this less of a pain in the rear to work with. Update: after ragging on The repaired motor for a good few thousand miles, the glue still has not failed!

Very happy customer
This female customer is very happy. Used it to stick a mouse air vent outside property. Instructions clear / easy to use. However it doesn’t stick in 6 mins more like half an hour! So for that I give it a four star.
