Good no bites

This material is thick! Definitely bite proof (I have a cat that likes to bite during grooming). Covers arms almost up to the shoulder. Overall a good buy.

Great length. Good padding in the hands- arms are not padded but the leather is of sufficient thickness that good protection is assured.

Had to wait a week for a feral fix appointment and had the cat in the bathroom. I bought these gloves to get him for the appointment and they worked like a charm. With the gloves on it took some work to learn to grab, but after a few practices grabs on a coke bottle I was ready to try for the cat. These gloves took both scratches and bites like a champ. I felt the pressure of the bites, but he didn't get through the gloves or break the skin. I didn't feel the scratches at all. I am so glad I went with these gloves and I will get plenty of use out of them while doing TNR.

An injured semi-feral cat took up residence in my yard. I got the cat neutered and got him some veterinary care. We have bonded a little bit but he has unpredictably scratched me and has tried to bite me in the past. With these gloves I feel confident petting and brushing the cat, who gets all kinds of plants matted up in his fur. But just now, out of nowhere, the cat bit me while I was brushing him. Luckily I had the glove on and I didn't feel a thing, although I think he mostly just bit the tip of the glove. None-the-less it seemed to hold up really well. I like that these gloves go up to elbow length.

I bought these gloves when I was caring for a semi-feral mother cat with young kittens. She had a tendency to bite or lash out when I would try to clean the cage or deliver food. These gloves protected my hands from bites easily!! They are thick and that does make it hard to do fine motor skills, but not getting bit is the better alternative. Please don’t think that these will hold up to big dogs or a strong bite. Some of these reviews seem to think that these will protect like the gloves used to train attack dogs. They’re great for cats and dogs that may nip quickly in fear. Not for larger aggressive dogs.

Offers very good protection. Makes handling a bit more clunky because of the thickness, but that can't be helped really.
