Works great!
Work great like it should we use it under all our pans.

If used right, this is the best Induction diffuser I have found in over a decade.
After reading many negative reviews, I note that several folks say it gets too hot and discolors, etc, etc. What shoppers should understand is that this diffuser is designed for (get this) INDUCTION STOVES AND COOKTOPS ONLY! It is not designed for electric-radiant and gas stoves! It can work, but it was not made for that and it can deform in color and shape if used as such. I have tried many variations of induction diffusers for induction stoves, but many can be butt-ugly as in cast iron and weigh a ton. This piece is reasonable in price, size and weight. Most importantly, the carbon steel core is wrapped in stainless steel cladding. Therefore, it will never rust or discolor as long as it is used on an induction stove. Glass, ceramic or aluminum... they all work here. I find it best to slowly heat the diffuser & glass or ceramic pan at a 150 degrees or so to let the built in cooktop temperature monitor to stabilize with the diffuser before placing the non-metallic pot... maybe a few minutes at best. Then you can adjust the temp as needed and cook without worry about shattering the glass pot. I should add that changing temperatures drastically can still stress glass or ceramic I used to cook on a gas stove, but after I found the tight controls on an induction cooktop, you can warm chocolate or melt butter and never burn it. You can set cooking cycles without standing over the stove. But the best part is that it is far m0re efficient than gas or radiant electric. Enjoy.

It works, but....
The product does work as described, but not for high heat use. The conversion just doesn't happen that way. If you have a non-magnetic pot/pan to use on an induction surface, the whole plate will heat up as expected, but only within the power limits of that cooktop. Best for low to medium heat foods. This is especially true for the lower wattage 110v countertop induction units. This item will not convey enough heat to a pan for a heavy simmer, let alone a boil with such countertop units - and is best used as a buffet/table keep-hot type device. You're best is to get the proper pan to begin with for actual cooking. Not recommended for these lower watt units. For full size 220v cooktop, this works great to convert a non-conducting pan for use.

Became unusable: Metal separated, defeating the purpose
I bought this diffuser in October 2022. I used it for a while, set it aside while moving from one house to another, then resumed using it. I used it on an electric glass cooktop—non induction, then bought an induction range and went to use it on that. It’s coming apart, not staying flat. I understood the point of these infusers was to provide a flat surface to transfer heat to pots. This is not how this product looks in the photos in the listing. I bought diffusers from 2 other brands and neither has this problem. I searched for a way to contact Runzi and got:“finding direct contact information for the Runzi brand itself proves challenging through online searches. If you have questions about a Runzi heat diffuser, the best approach is to contact the retailer from whom you purchased it. They will likely have the most direct information and be able to assist you with any inquiries or support you may need.” Amazon was gracious enough to issue a refund, and I ordered from a different brand. This one is a waste of money.

Just like picture & described !
This what I wrote on my induction plate range review for this item is below. It did seem to slide, but maybe is cuz it took a few minutes till it heated up & got magnetic. I was scared it was not going to work, but it did ! I was expecting super magnetic stick right away, but is not how this works I guess. As long as it works I am okay. Just wish the retail mark up was not that much or item do as I thought it might in the magic magnet thing, but as long as it worked with none induction pots, or worked, etc I am satisfied. It is all I was worried about when ordering it & if I had to return it back. Good thing I don't have to. Looks like great quality. It was a low price. No fancy more button functions like I would have liked, but I have been wanting an induction range, so I had to forget that & get this simple one. I am sure better off without more difficulty or choices of button functions. I tried one of from the set of the cheap Walmart nice enough Mainstays pots set to make the square pkg of Nissan chicken flavor noodle soup on the induction flat pan thing bought on here & it boiled the water so fast no stress like my regular countertop coil burners. Maybe with all this wot burn stuff again. Also, maybe make some caramel if ever need be. I don't cook much on the stove, but if need to I have it. I have the toaster oven, the digital pressure cooker, and now the 3 in 1 Ninja Foodi Gril, so will not this unless need to saute seasonings Spanish Cuban tomato sauce base or can of beans for it, cuz the microwave is not so great or really work or the same & a bit of a pain & process. This is much faster. The plastic round microwave cooker is too thin for the weight when go take it out & a pot is much better to do that when cant cook dry beans. I wish I could get more use out of this, but since I have all those other devices for recipes I don't need it as much. If ever there is a recipe that I find on YouTube or my search that I can't cook on those devices then I will have this here already & not have to wait to get one to make the food. Anyhow, looks great quality. So far so good. Hope have use of it for ages to come.

Induction cooking, not so great...Gas stove is wonderful.
It doesn't seem to get very hot, I have an 1800 watt induction stove, and was hoping to not have to buy new cookware, but while it does work, it doesn't conduct the heat very well, the pans, at best, probably get to about a medium heat, which can take forever to cook something. Just cooking eggs and sausage took forever, ugh... I took off the disk and used a cast iron pot on the induction burner directly and wa-la, it worked great, so it's either the disk not distributing enough energy to the pans, or the cheap aluminum pans I have, or maybe a combination the two. Either way, if other people are having success, its probably my combo. Sad...but now I have to spend the money on new cookware after all. I'll keep this one for my RV to use on the gas stove, It works great on that!

This gets HOT!
I bought this heat diffuser to use with my aluminum pressure cooker and canner. It does a great job. That being said, be careful if you move it off the cooktop before it's cool. I moved it to a cloth hot pad shortly after using it for some pressure canning. It melted the hot pad to the bottom of the diffuser! I will order another as I've been pleased with how well this works. It heats your pan more like an electric burner, nowhere near as fast as induction. This makes sense since the heat has to transfer from the diffuser to the pan, just like a regular electric burner. The metal has had some discoloration, but it doesn't affect the performance.

Efficient Solution to use Non-magnetic Cookware with Induction Stove.
I had picked up a new/used induction stovetop at eBay for really small money. Problem was, many of my pots and pans are aluminum and ceramic. Rather than spending a fortune upgrading all of my cookware to magnetic cast iron or stainless steel, I decided to buy this little item. It is **perfect**. The induction stove excites the magnetic molecules in this stainless disk, vibrating them to potent heat, and this heats up my other pans. This transfers heat directly to the pan above, including: aluminum, ceramic, glass - whatever. Perfect item to adapt your induction stove-top for non-magnetic cookware.
