The pout pout fish is a BRILLIANT character that will help you talk to your child about moods, feelings, and being a good friend. My older son has always been very sensitive and the original book is still one his favorites- I was ECSTATIC to find this Christmas version! The moral of the story is so great - things don’t have to be perfect or expensive, the most important thing is to be thoughtful and to spend time with the people you love. That aside - the colors are vibrant, there are lots of funny little details to find on each page, and it’s impossible to read it without giggling like crazy. Highly recommend!

At first I wasn’t a fan of this book, but reading it a few times made it grow on me. Baby likes this one, but gets a little more impatient with the wordiness than with other, less wordy options like Little Blue Truck books. This one is cute, but overall just okay

We are a huge fan of the pout pout fish book series. This book reminds me more of the pout pout fish in the big big dark, if your familiar with that one... I say that because it's lengthier and tells a great story (some of the pout pout fish books only have a few words per page - not the case here!). As always, great illustrations and most importantly, the story line is great. The story teaches that you don't need to buy extravegant gifts for your friends for them to be special - you can make something or give from the heart and your friends will love it that much more! Great story any time of year, not just Christmas time.

I have been reading Pout Pout Fish books to my grandson since he was too little to know what the words were but loved the rhythm of the books. Now that he is past 3, he really enjoys them even more. Kinda reminds me of the beat nicks of the 60's the way the prose is worded. As long as new Pout Pout Fish books come out, I will keep buying them.

My son loves the original Pout Pout Fish book, so I thought I'd give him this one for the Christmas season. I think it's adorable. It flows really well, and talks about gifting from the heart. My son really enjoys it.
