Can these things handle being on constant or long periods of time ? Or is it strictly for backup power ?

DEPENDS ON USAGE. I TRY TO REDUCE MY CARBON FOOT PRINT AND HENCE USE THESE AS PRIMARY. Things to keep in mind....never use battery to use electric heaters, stoves, induction stoves, hvac or a/c and other high power consuming equipment. Fridges and freezers, washing machines etc which are electro-mechanical devices are fine. Electric HEATING devices deplete batteries faster, so no use. Hydrocarbons (gas) are good for 'producing' heat due to their chemical nature. Using electric/battery operated will be an 'overkill' for such devices. It is easier to heat a room with a simple 'blueflame heater' then an 'electric space heater'.

Is solar pass through too ?

Yes on the Delta 2 and all of EcoFlow products.

Can you leave it plugged in on ac power as in a ups scenario? i would like to use it with a pellet stove.

Yes. I use this feature at least once a day when I cut the feed from house power to the delta so it can be charged from the solar panels in my backyard. When this switch happens, my desktop and 3 monitors never turns off. According to Ecoflow User's Manual, the switch is within 30ms and 1 second = 1000ms.

Can this run a 115vac?

We have a new "Energy Star +" super efficient Midea 8K BTU Window AC we got this year, and I believe the power consumption is 700W. So considering efficiency losses, this unit could run that AC for about an hour and 15 min. Also when the compressor and fans start up in ACs, they tend to draw a huge amount of power. The inverter in this unit is pretty beefy, and would likely be enough to cover the start up of your AC if its a smaller unit, but realistically you'd be out of battery in an hour or less.
