Greenpans Valencia Pro are fantastic!
I bought this set to replace my wonderful high end nonstick hybrid cookware because those pans, as much as I loved them, are very heavy and I was having trouble lifting them, especially the bigger ones when filled with food. These are lighter but not so light like the cheap nonstick aluminum pans. The nonstick is fantastic, the hard anodized is great heating evenly and on lower heat settings. Plus, they can take oven temperatures up to 600 degrees! The lids up to 425 degrees. They are well worth the price.

Good so far!
I got these for my wife for Christmas, she absolutely loves them. They cook food nicely, no sticking or black flecks from Teflon. So far they appear to hold up nicely not using metal utensils or a dishwasher. It's advertised that those can be done but there's many reviews that suggest against it. As soon as we're done cooking, simply apply a little bit of soap and some water and they wipe completely clean. There's no need to put them in the dishwasher, nothing sticks to them. The one drawback that I would say is that the handles on the side of the pots heat up to almost the same temperature as the pot. The pans don't have this problem. We're cooking on a gas range, if that makes a difference... I believe I paid quite a bit considering the few pieces we got, however a week later the price it increased by several hundred dollars... I guess I should say I got a deal, but they're pots and pans and just like everything they will not last forever. 11 months into it and I would recommend these. Still cooking food, no flecking of cooking surface. The only potential drawback is on the pots... The handles which are made of metal get quite warm when you're boiling water or making soup or something like that. Cannot use the handles without a pot holder of some sort. Does not change quality of the product. I'll post an update a few months down the road to see how they're doing still.

AMAZING POTS AND PANS
First, WARNING, don't use PAM or other spray on oils. The manufacturer clearly tells you not to. Our daughter has a set, and she used PAM many times before realizing that the non-stick feature was being compromised... Did not work as well. Have you ever cooked scrambled eggs in your stainless steel pans only to have to scrub the baked on egg residue off? Really scrub? With these pans, no scrubbing is needed. In fact, I just rinse the "cool" pan off under real warm water and the egg residue comes right off. Worse case you might have to use a wet soapy sponge, and glide the sponge over the pan. We have a conductive range and these pots and pans work perfectly with it. These pots and pans are truly non-stick. After having these pots and pans for several months they still look brand new.... inside and outside.

Will never buy these again
Loved them at first, enough to buy a second set, but these are not cheap and we're now regretting it. Pros: - ceramic is awesome. way better than old school non-stick. - aesthetically nice, especially the newer lid design - skillets and pots often can use the same lid size Cons: - The ceramic that "won't chip" absolutely chips like crazy. We've never used anything but wooden spoons in them and they're all chipping. We don't want to eat ceramic chips. Our kids don't either. - Once the ceramic chips the *inside* can rust! - The bottom coating wore through even faster than the ceramic started chipping and the whole thing RUSTS. Very hard to get out of countertops and can't stack the pans anymore. - Warranty is awful and won't cover these glaring defects

Green Pan is highly ranked, preferred, and it's for a good reason
They say that people really do read reviews. I agree as I am one of those people. I also write reviews, not for every product, but definitely for those products that warrant a review. Green Pans Valencia series is one such product. I purchased these pans and pots to replace two other sets of non-stick we have. One is an original Emeril Lagasse set from 2004. Shows how good those pans were. The other a Gotham Steel Copper set from 2018, not so good. I felt it was time for a unified looking set and I had just watched America's Test Kitchen review cookware. They're top pick for non-stick was the Green Pan Valencia series. Consumer Reports rated them very highly as well. I had a simple set of Green Pans shortly after they came out on the market in 2013 in the second home we had. Our youngest son has them now, so I was already familiar with the brand. It was the Gotham Stell ones that replaced those pans. But as I noted, they weren't as good as the Green Pans or The Emeril set. So, when Amazon had a sale on the Green Pans, I pulled the trigger. We've had the pans now for a couple of weeks and followed the pre-use instructions. First, they got a light wash. Then, on their first use they were heated on a medium heat for a minute or two before any oil was added. By adding oil, I mean a tablespoon or less. To date they have been wipe out clean after frying. Just like on TV. They are very substantive in the hands, but not heavy. They heat evenly and there is no noted running of liquids or oils to one side or the other showing the pans are flat. They are rated for all types of cooking surfaces, but we have electric and have noted the setting of the stove is a little lower on all burners, indicative of a good thorough heating material. I hope to get a couple of decades out of this set. But I do note, my wife kept a couple of the small 8 inch Emeril pans for eggs.

Great pans, make sure you know how to take care of them
I was a little nervous to get these based on some of the reviews that they don't last long. I've had them 6 months, and I'm very happy. They are super easy to clean, stuff just glides off of the surface. Make sure you take care of them though: * Don't use cooking sprays! Use a small amount of a high smoke point oil * Don't turn the heat very high! The pans get hot quickly, and if you use heat that is too hot, that's when carbonization occurs and charred residue gets burnt on the pan surface. You don't need it to be that hot. * Hand wash. Washing these is easier than any pan I have used before. Do not use any scratchy scrubber. You don't have to scrub (as long as you didn't use cooking spray or cook with too high heat). * Store with the felt separators when stacking If you do get some charred residue, follow the advice on their website - it works. Put some dish soap and water in the pan. Boil it for a few minutes. Then empty that and rub it with a melamine sponge (like Mr Clean eraser sheet). I was surprised at how well that worked, it rubs off and doesn't scratch the pan at all.

Love these pans!
These are very nice quality pans! Look great, nice weight, stack and save space with cloth inserts to protect the pans. Cook well and have a nice gray color to them. We love our new pans.

Damaged right out of the box - update!
So the set I ordered was damaged when received but after contacting and emailing Greenspan some pictures they immediately sent me a new set. They are amazing! You do need to care for them to last. I’m cooking for 8 so mine get a lot of use. Buy a set of the pan pads to protect them in the drawer and they will hold up. I’ve even had the kids throw something in the sink on top of them and no scratches. Last point - a lot of reviews about eggs sticking. Use butter and they won’t. Oil will bead and there isn’t much you can do about eggs sticking other than that. Better to use butter than eat nonstick cancer causing materials. I highly recommend this set. Great set and great recovery by Greenpan. Love this set. Did my research and this seems to be the best value for the money. However, received my new set and the sauce pan is clearly damaged right out of the box. This would imply there is no quality control at GreenPan. We’ll see how their problem resolution is with my claim. Very disappointing. I’ll update after resolution.
