I've had Klipsch speakers before, so when I needed to purchase a new surround sound system for my new home, choosing Klipsch speakers again was a no brainer...! The new Reference Premiere II series looks as good as it sounds, which was important to me too. Absolutely love the optional walnut finish, combined with the black front! Build quality and attention to detail is outstanding with Klipsch, right down to the aluminum feet that these speakers stand on. I also wanted speakers that would perform just as well when listening to music, as they would while watching a movie and again, Klipsch delivers!!

I bought these speakers to replace my Bose 301-series V speakers as my fronts in a 5.2.1 setup using an Onkyo TX-NR-646 AVR. I didn’t notice much difference just swapping them out…a little brighter sound, but not a huge difference. Then I setup bi-amping by using the height speaker outputs as my second input to the Klipsch speakers. Configured everything in setup and switched from 5.2.1 to 5.1. The speakers came to life. More depth, tighter bass, better imaging/soundstage. I use this system for listening to music more than I do for Surround Sound, so sacrificing the ATMOS speakers for bi-amping my primaries is a trade off I can live with. One day I will purchase the Onkyo TZ-RZ50 AVR, and it will allow me to do both, but for now, I’m a happy Klipsch RP-6000F II owner.
