For the mermaid want to be. Fun and works some. Not for larger hands.

Bought 3 pairs for a 12yro, 9yro, and 11yro. I'm 42 and they for me also. Increased swim speed and SO FLIPPING FUN we were the main cast at the community pool, and tell the world THESE ARE DELIGHTFUL

I gave these gizzies a try to see if they'd help paddling a surfboard. I had to cut away the thumb web right away. They were awkward, at first, on a board because, well, I'm not used to them, and grabbing your stick felt "funny" so I cut the one unit in half (horizontally) and used the finger TIP portion pulled down to the base of my fingers (don't buy them too big if they come in sizes; I've forgotten). I hardly knew I had them on, I could grab my board easily, felt natural, and I must have gained SOME speed but it was "Victory at Sea" the day of my trial, so hard to tell. I used good scissors and cut cleanly; the material didn't split, tear or run; I forgot I had them on (I only tested one hand so as to feel the difference) and went to lunch wearing them (my gal asked me if they were a bandage). I had to "ease" them on&off but it wasn't difficult (used baby powder first time); you want them snug (turtles will choke on them [they'll look like jellyfish to turtles] so if you decide they're NOT for you, put'em in your pocket till ya hit the beach). For SWIMMING I can see a great benefit to leaving the thumb web attached: there'll be significantly more power in your pull. They didn't cost much: can't hurt > they laughed at surf leashes in the early '70s
